There are concerns within Australia’s Parliament that the Government’s economic narrative will not be sustained between now and the next federal election.
Adams/North discuss various levels of economic confidence between different cohorts of Australian households. The basic political problem the Australian Government has is that they are playing to approximately 33% of all households on the economic front.
There is just not enough of these people for the Government to sustain their rosy upbeat economic assessment and win a general election (which is coming in May 2019) on the economy.
