Wait till next month when the dollar index breaks below 72, you won't be able to buy any silver eagles

  2. Buy high and sell low. Its the American way!

  3. Silvergood says:

Where are they getting the silver to produce the coins? Why are we not seeing a greater price reflected from supply-demand?

Doc, maybe we should start giving things their correct name.

The 'official' silver price is NOT the price of silver. It is the price of 'paper silver' (only backed by silver on a 100 to 1 ratio). The REAL price of silver is given by direct sales of physical silver. Recorded REAL prices are mostly on e-bay.

So what if you show both prices when posting graphs? It would be interesting.

    Thx!

  9. Agent Blonde- if you have a chart of ebay sales prices that are priced in a constant form of silver (US eagles for example) we would be glad to post it.
We do occassionaly post updates on the ebay price of silver. We checked this morning and Eagles were selling for ~$45-$46 on ebay.

No I don't. And I guess this information should be extracted manually. But knowing that Eagles are $5 over the paper price is good news. Maybe we could keep track of this from time to time.

Fifty million oz next year? Crazy thing is that silver is four times as expensive as it was in 05!
