    In discussing backwardation, BrotherJofnF broached a matter I’d recognized a while ago. As long as the paper ‘money’ paradigm persists, no economic discipline can exist. The ‘Classical’, ‘Austrian’ and ‘Chicago’ schools of economics all treat Plantation Scrip as though it ought to respond to their theories in the same ways as would specie. None of these schools have anything more than a mere half-century of historic data by which to test their prognostications and that’s simply far too brief a span to derive anything more than ‘an educated guess’.

    Thankfully. the banknote scheme is systemically doomed and that juncture is showing myriad signals of iminent culmination. It couldn’t come soon enough!

    Wow! I just can’t believe how 99.8% of the silver market which is paper silver can control the 0.2% which is physical silver! By the way, the physical silver price have already separated from the fake paper silver market thanks to the premiums.
