  • Silver Sentiment Overly Negative. Bottom in Sight Finally?
    August 21, 2014 12:30 pm
  • A good buddy of mine went "all in" on silver literally at the top. I mean he actually bought a boat load of SLV @ $49 thinking that it was on it's way to $60 which at the time many market pundits were claiming the same thing. He was also a stacker but he was trying to hit a homerun by leveraging up with SLV. Needless to say he got monkey hammered and lost a ton of money on that trade. Because of that situation he no longer stacks silver despite the fact that the price is more than 50% lower than when he first started stacking. I asked him why he stopped stacking and he told me that he's making much more money in the stock market and that silver is too unfairly manipulated. He doesn't see a reason to fight against TPTB.   While I agree with him on the manipulation comment I totally disagree with his decision to stop stacking at the lows. But his actions underscore what so many people do. They chase something because it is going up in price not because they believe in it as...

  • It`s like this. New investors in metals are looking to make fast cash. It seldom if ever works that way. These are the trend jumpers. They become fatigued quickly. Most very quickly. Then they cry, and cry and cry. others listen to the crying, and get shaky on thier own investment. They begin to cry, and it echo`s all over the internet. Pay no attention to the cryers, or cheer leaders.   Some day, we will return to the Constitution. Until then, ignore the noise, on both sides of the issue. Stack because the Constitution say`s we should. It`s enough for me.   One other bit of advise. Never, and I mean never, under estimate how stupid people can be.

  • We will soon be coming out of the summer lull, let's see if prices pick up in the fall. As long as investors and stackers follow the old adage, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket," they will be alright.  I recently picked up a $100 face-value bag of Walking Liberty Halves for just a few dollars above the spot price, from a 'weak-hand' who threw in the towel and needed the cash.

  • Silver Shortage
    August 21, 2014 03:05 am
  • I was trying to hope that with the departure of Duetsche Bank , the new silver "FIX" would lead to a new price discovery mechanism and move to reflecting the true price of  silver. This I fear has not come to pass. We are now faced with a continuation of the charade of three banking institutions  who  maintain a  notional "paper" price , generated in support of their ponzi scheme with regulators looking the other way.Its simple fraud in my opinion. How long this rear-guard action will continue. I don't know.   I imagine until physical shortages become so acute the system just breaks apart, all  fiat currency will go to zero; fact.  My guess they are going to drive the price to the ground by massive naked shorting then flip and go long . Then the price will go to the moon with no physical available at any price in a week. keep the faith , keep stacking veritas vos liberabit

  • @coinbuysell , thanks for sharing your thoughts on these coins.  If I can make a quick $100 or more profit by doing a quick flip, then I will; if not then it won't kill me to hang onto this coin.  Who knows what the value will be in 5 years? It would be interesting to see what the order cancellation rate on these, as more flippers realize they are likely to get stuck holding a 3/4 oz. paperweight. MCM responded to my inquiry and here it is: Hi Mammoth, Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we are completely filled at the moment on the Kennedys. Please let me know if there is anything else we can assist you with.   Andy Salzberg Chief Operating Officer JMRC/ModernCoinMart 5260 Paylor Lane Sarasota, FL 34240 Andy@moderncoinmart.com 1-800-362-9004 Ext. 224

  • You guys all seeing the same article and video pop up everywhere about the American photo journalist who ISIS beheaded in Iraq?  Their video edits out the actual beheading, but has a personal message addressed to President Obama.   Seems that even though Obama's been supporting ISIS for a couple years now with billions of US dollars worth of military gear and funding, they're turning on him.  Or maybe they're pissed at Obama for raining on their parade in Iraq?

  • @Mammoth  If I only had one, and could afford it, I would hold it tightly...my guess is once all of the 1st day sales get delivered  then the price will move up.  Looks to me like all of the "flippers" are out in force and keeping pressure on the market so once this initial delivery period is over, I think we will see the market revert to higher pricing but who the f... knows???  If gold gets beaten down, then these will probably drift away with it, but if we get a little move up then I think these will FLY!  I have 2 months until my cc is due so I am going to hold out unless I can get a good cash price for a couple at a show.

  • @underground said ... "A female Indian (dot, not feather) Scientist has developed..." Hey,  you stole that line from me! -------------------------- X.,  Mother Russia already offers more freedoms and liberties than the USA.  But you have to bribe the right people.

  • @Xizang The cops are arming up in an attempt to intimidate. they are spending NSA money on toys to show thier wang is bigger than yours. if scratch does go to claw in this country (and i pray it dosent) they will fold faster than the Iraqi army.   If you look back at the great Depression of the 1930`s. I.E. watch or read the Grapes of Wrath, I suggest you read it, people complied with the law, and vacated property, peacfully. I`m relativley certin it wont be that simple this time. Resistance will mount. Confrontation will be common place. People will band togeather, groups unknown at this time will surface, formadible groups.   It just aint gonna be that easy this time.

  • Should Perry somehow be"lynched by this KLUMMAC Mob", TEXAS will give KLUMMAC  the Finger... :D I suspect other states will follow suit. I say "escalate away, Bi-otch!!!"   Indiana is flying under the radar, but we have quietly down as much as any other state in nearly every area. Plus, we have a budget that is not in the red, we passed the "Silver & Gold" legal tender law (affirmation, really) plus our Indiana State Sheriff's Association is signed on with CSPOA, to defend the 2A to the death. Like I told AGXIK, countermeasures are usually cheaper and easier than new measures ;) Put THAT in er pipe, and Smoke It,   "F'eds!"  New movie they should make after HollyWeird gets straightened out, (instead of Warren Beatty's Reds
    Call it  "F'eds"

  • Should the Republicans and Libertarians manage to take both houses of Congress away from the liberals, I can see Obama and Holder's next power play:  Create a 'crisis' and declare a state of national emergency, suspend the Constitution and all future elections "until further notice", and become Dictator of the US.   Don't think it could happen?  How do they do things in Chicago?   As for me, I'm thinking that I better consider moving to a country that's too small and too poor for anyone to bother messing with - or to one that's too big for Obama to try to fuck with, like Russia or China.   Mother Russia will end up offering more freedoms and liberties than the USA.
