  • So I asked my sister in law for Medical freebies at easter dinner

  • Wow! Tremendous comments from everyone. My scenario: About 11 years ago I bought some land in a fairly remote place. My lady-friend (now wife) was all for it as she liked camping and such. We decided to build a house (and we did for 3 years on weekends). Every time we got close to the nearest town, I would stop and buy any empty gas can and fill it. My wife would always say "why don't you just use the old gas cans"? I would say I forgot to bring one. Dummy she'd say. "You're wasting good money". Needless to say I slowly but surely convinced her we would need them. Now she's totally on board with everything.Moral: Be patient and slow trying to tell your relatives about what's to come. Too much too fast will create dissent. Try not to be pushy. Slow and easy.Banding together in any emergency is absolutely critical as we can't do it on our own.Go...

  • Should I really tell the truth about "Money"?
    April 17, 2012 08:00 pm
  • Sumkid,The above posts are from some of the best silver minds I've seen regarding silver. I constantly read other sites as well. You may start your peers buying but I don't think (at the moment) you'll cause a tremendous spike all at once. Tell the truth. Always best. This is what the DOC's site is all about. Opinions and silver education. AGXIIK has an excellent idea about you're own blog. Make a little cash and stack with the proceeds.Happy stacking

  • Creating a Preperation Network
    April 18, 2012 04:12 am
  • Dead, nuts, spot and right on Flying Wombat,I'm no expert by any means, but, a lot of the preppers are preparing for a single event (and doing a great job). Many of them would be in sad shape should a group overrun their supplies (which is likely in the cities first). Storing food and supplies is great but you have to know how to grow your food, catch or raise your meats, treat medical situations with natural medicines, band with the like minded, etc. One guy on the show lived in the city and spent a tremendous amount of money on bullet proof glass for his house but still had wooden doors (easy to bust through). The house also will still burn. I stress again, our grandparents (and theirs) lived from honest work and living on the land. They called it "making it on a day to day basis" and was just the way of life. We now call it prepping but we can learn to do the same. This forum may open all of...

  • Water Bob: Have you guys seen this?
    April 18, 2012 02:49 pm
  • Very cool, though not available until the end of may. For those with only one bath tub: Wall mart sells Rubbermade tubs for about $6.00 - $8.00 each. You can get the in many sizes and this would work great. While we built our house (3 years on weekends) we would use a rubbermade tub to bathe in with water from the spring fed stream (boiled first). So, I know it will hold the water weight (Almost 8 pounds to the gallon).

  • Immigrating to another country?
    April 18, 2012 05:54 pm
  • Pollokeeper,I'm glad you asked the question. Super thoughts AGXIIK. You know, our forefathers took the plunge and had to be very courageous to make the trip in a small (and I mean small) wooden ship to cross the Atlantic. They found a place of opportunity and freedom until the good ole king tried to impose his will. But, they fought back strong and hard. Many died but eventually they gained their independence and freedom again. If anyone would want to leave for the thought of a better way way of life, I have the greatest respect for the. These would be men and women of great spirit, will, heart, courage and adventure. The most desirable of traits. For me, as of this moment, I intend to stay. I intend to take back what has been taken from me. The things my parents and grandparents, etc. sweated and labored and loved and died for, I simply cannot ...

  • Welcome To the Conspiracy Theory Forum
    April 18, 2012 08:18 pm
  • Check out Pakalert Press. They usually have some pretty good articles about the reactors as well as chemtrails. Last I heard there was over 1,160 rods in reactor 4. If it collapses it could affect up to 8,000 +/- rods in the other reactors and would be devastating to the world. What I don't understand is why they would build the cooling tanks above ground. duh!I'll look into the chemtrails. I can't seem to find the updated article I read. Is it true? don't know but in today's world anything is possible and likely probable.

  • What is the government up to?
    April 19, 2012 05:15 am
  • Good additions AGXIIK. I'll be adding more and world dollar problems. Here's a few: - China and India signed the largest trade deal in their history (Not to be traded in dollars) - Saudi Arabia is building the worlds largest petro refinery in the world and the gas will not be traded in dollars - BRIC nations (+ Africa) to begin trading in their own currencies - Iran by-pass oil embargo and trades gold for oil with several nations.427 has a good grasp on it. I want to make a condensed "bullet statement" paragraph for people to refer to. It's a lot easier to put 1 &1 together if everything else right in front of your eyes. More to come. I'll be on the road for a while today. What are people doing to to prepare for this? I don't know. A...

  • What is the government up to?
    April 20, 2012 08:36 am
  • My point exactly 427. I hope to make people wake up and be aware of what is happening now. The gov. is accelerating their efforts to prepare for some large event that they are not telling the public. What is it? Economic collapse? WWIII? Population reduction? I don't know. But, the things they are putting in place is scary. For those who see, what are you doing to prepare yourselves? A lot of people are prepping for different scenarios but preparing for a government out of control should be on everyone's mind. I don't think it's going to matter whomever gets elected as Pres. this year.

    April 20, 2012 08:26 pm
  • Yeah 427. Burns me up to see our country going the way of to Dodo bird. My kids are grown and I have 10 grand kids (2 children) Yes they've been busy. You brought out my point exactly. Do I want to spend all my time preparing for something I can't control? No. I live now similar to what my parents and grandparents did. I guess to a certain extent I could be called a prepper. For the most part I'm somewhat self sufficient because of what my dad taught me and my siblings growing up. I grow most of my vegetables and save seed for the next year. Most of my meats come from a friend that uses no growth hormones, artificial vitamins, etc. (Much better price than the grocer). I don't hunt but it's plentiful and available on my property (Used to hunt some time ago). Have a natural spring fed stream and do love to fish (trout galore). Water from the well with provisions to draw from the stream as necessary. Like the NRA but not a member. Wood fireplace and stove. Gas logs and heat pump. Gener...

  • The Road
    April 21, 2012 05:58 pm
  • I saw this about 3-4 months ago. Very scary and would be, IMO, a more likely scenario than Mad Max. A sad story but definite truth about humanity. I didn't totally get what caused the cataclysm  but I think it was a generalization for a catastrophe that left people to fend for themselves even to the extent of cannibalism. A movie worthwhile. Watch if you get the chance.

  • The Road
    April 21, 2012 08:17 pm
  • You can get The Road at Amazon for about $10.00 Fiats. I caught the end of it one night and my wife saw it was airing again and recorded it. Since you are going to get the movie I won't ruin the plot for you.Another good one was the Postman (Kevin Costner). It's a little older than The Road but a good post apocalyptic movie (not as good as The Road but still believable) Hope you get to see it soon.

    April 24, 2012 05:16 am
  • AG,I sent a PDF of your manual to the DOC and asked him to e-mail it to you.Tip of the day:Don't throw that old microwave away. Drill a few holes in each side and paint it black. Slice your fruits  to 1/4" and place on a rack in the microwave oven. Place it in the sun. It makes a great dehydrator.

  • Super comments guys. I've looked at yard sales and flea markets with not much luck. I haven't thought of the Good Will stores and such. I'll check them out. By the way, what percent silver is sterling?Throw some peppermint seeds along the ditch line or somewhere you don't weed eat or trim. It'll grow wild a come back year after year. Good for colds and spicing your foods.
