HindenburgFormer Assistant Treasury Secretary Paul Craig Roberts says, “The country is not being run by the President. It is being run by spy agencies and private interest groups, Wall Street and military security complex . . .They run the country. The President is a puppet, a figurehead.” Dr. Roberts contends, “If you are a lawless state, which the United States is, it obeys no international law. It does not obey the Geneva Convention . . . It tortures people. It doesn’t obey the Constitution. It doesn’t obey anything. It does what it wants. . . . If you are a lawless state, you disguise yourself as a democracy.” Former President Jimmy Carter agrees. Just last week, Carter said, “The U.S. has no functioning democracy at this moment.” Why hasn’t the mainstream media picked up this astounding comment from a former Democratic President? Dr. Roberts says, “Five firms now own what used to be a large dispersed independent media. Nobody can open their mouth, they’d get fired. They have become a propaganda ministry for government and corporations.” Dr. Roberts goes on to say, “My prediction or expectation is by winter, the second downturn of the Great Recession will be in place. Unemployment will explode, more foreclosures are coming. It’s going to be worse than the Great Depression.” Join Greg Hunter as he goes One-on-One with economist Dr. Paul Craig Roberts.

  2. I don’t know a lot about PCR but the comments at the 18 minute mark should give us something to think about. Is this just another psyop to scare the citizens or is this truly something that is discussed with seriousness in the halls of DC? I guess Syria will be an indication of the truthfulness of those remarks. There is absolutely NO strategic reason to get involved with Syria except for the monetary one……to establish a western friendly central bank. Once that’s done and the resources and gold is looted, let the serfs tear each other apart.

I don’t like the idea of giving our sovereignty to international lawmakers but we have become a lawless country. We must re-establish our commitment to follow our OWN laws first…..the Constitution. And not bend to the whims of these clowns in DC.

    • Involvement with Syria will be to foment WW3, which in turn is to provide justification for OWG, to prevent ‘EVER AGAIN such horrendous things happening.’ WW3 is also for the mother of all distractions from daily misery and death created by dollar collapse. Assad resists a certain rogue state and is a thorn in their side, although I realise I am not allowed to say that. So, it is a good place to start the fireworks.

    • “There is absolutely NO strategic reason to get involved with Syria except for the monetary one……to establish a western friendly central bank.”

Actually, there is a strategic reason for getting involved in Syria and that is to encircle, isolate, and topple Iran.  Note that I did not say that this was a GOOD reason.  My choice is that when @$$holes are killing each other, it is best to stand back and cheer them on.

  3. The US is NOT a lawless state. The good people of the USA are anything but lawless. On the contrary, they are very afraid of breaking any rules, especially now with all the scary stories about what happens to those that do break the rules. Therefore, this article is good ol’ propaganda, like many posted here. However, there sure is lawlessness within the USA, and it is down to banks, the news and entertainment media, and CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS within government.

So, what motivation would the illustrious Paul Craig Roberts have for using such a broad brush? Well, if the US was a lawless state, then its collapse and realignment with the rest of the world (ie. a BIG downgrade), would be welcomed in the interests of curtailing greed and corruption, the 2 things that OWG is and will be sold to address, but that it will actually exacerbate. Ah ok, so Paul Craig Roberts is a globalist. Que sorpresa!

Interesting too, PCR’s implication that economic collapse follows this alleged lawlessness. That sounds biblical; not a coincidence, I am sure. So, is he implying that the USA will get what it deserves? I certainly think he is implying that. I strongly disagree that the MILLIONS who will die following the collapse of the dollar in the USA, deserve it. Clearly, those who will die are those who know nothing but OBEDIENCE, and not what PCR implies that it is those who are DISOBEDIENT that will be punished.

It is a common theme in our MSM, that countries become almost like people, and he blethers on in the same vein. There are >300m people in the USA, so it is very diverse, and these people do not all behave alike, as we well know. So, PCR’s justification of the sacrifice of USA (based on greed and corruption) does not hold water. Let’s face it, these sentiments are heard everywhere these days, and if I didn’t know that conspiracies just don’t happen in the real world, I would think it was a conspiracy.

    • “The US is NOT a lawless state. The good people of the USA are anything but lawless.”

The second part of the statement is true. The first part has to be qualified as “The US citizenry…” A US citizen, on average, breaks at least three laws (misdemeanor or felony) everyday. It’s not because the person necessarily is evil or has evil intent, it’s because the laws have become so egregious and many in number. And it’s not because people are scare to break the rules, they just don’t know what the rules are anymore. They CAN’T know unless they have a lawyer tagging along with them all day long. And, if they break a law unknowingly, are the authorities going to react with patience and mercy toward that ignorance or are they going to act with swift and terrifying actions (i.e., SWAT teams vs. a knock on the door from your local sheriff.) The PEOPLE are NOT in a lawless state, the GOVERNMENT IS!   i.e, the NDAA does not allow the arming or assistance to terrorist organizations but what is BHO planning to do? Arm the Syrian “rebels” which consist, in part, of Al qaeda terrorists. Or how about unwarranted search and seizures at the airports? How about the targeting and assassination of US citizens without due process? Shall I go on?

    • “I strongly disagree that the MILLIONS who will die following the collapse of the dollar in the USA, deserve it.”

Whether or not they deserve it, it is not up to any of us to make that determination.  It is well and truly above our pay grade… WAY above our pay grade.

If we do in fact have to face a long and painful ordeal, it very well could be that this is as much a spiritual crisis as it will be an economic / financial one.  God has ways of deflating those who get too puffed up with their own self-importance in this life.  This goes for nations as well as for individuals.  Those who come through such an ordeal tend to be those who have both faith and courage.

  4. Roberts is right on the money, but in my opinion the self anointed political elite in the US, Canada, Israel, Britain, France are all increasingly lawless. Few people are brave enouigh to call a spade a spade, especially with the terrorist organization of Israel..

I’m surpriused Greg Hunter tried to play captain save a hoe when he mentioned it.

    • We do but one has to wonder how practical that is today.  In the late 1700s, the government and the patriots had about the same technology.  The government had more war materiel but it was basically of the same type as was used by the patriots.  That is not the case these days.  I am not saying that a successful revolution could not be fought, only that it would be MUCH more difficult today than it was 225+ years ago.
