America could actually use some global warming right about now.  It is being projected that low temperatures across the Midwest could be 30 to 50 degrees below average on Monday morning.  On Sunday, fans that attempted to tailgate before the playoff game between the 49ers and the Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin were discovering that their beers were actually turning to ice before they could drink them.  That is cold.  But things are going to get really chilly when nightfall arrives.  In fact, it is being projected that much of the nation will experience wind chill temperatures of more than 40 degrees below zero, and wind chill temperatures of more than 50 degrees below zero are expected in parts of North Dakota and Minnesota.  The weather is expected to be so cold that the governor of Minnesota has actually decided to close public schools statewide on Monday.  The last time that happened was back in 1997.
This is being called the coldest day in America in 20 years, and these cold temperatures have many Americans wondering what ever happened to all of that “global warming” that Al Gore and other “climate scientists” have been warning us about for so many years.
We present 10 of Al Gore’s all-time stupidest global warming quotes…

2014 Silver Maple

From End of the American Dream:

If the planet really is getting significantly warmer, our winters should not be like this.  Back in the year 2000, one prominent “climate scientist” boldly declared that future generations of children “just aren’t going to know what snow is.

Oh really?

The truth is that you don’t have to be a “climate scientist” to understand what is happening to the weather.  All you need is a little common sense.

Back in September, I warned that this was going to be “an extremely bitterly cold winter“.  I wrote another article that warned about how cold this winter would be in early December.

Right now we are witnessing cold temperatures that we have not seen in decades.  The following is the way that one meteorologist put it…

“If you’re under 40 (years old), you’ve not seen this stuff before.”

Another meteorologist wanted people to understand just how dangerous this kind of cold weather can be…

“A person not properly dressed could die easily in those conditions.”

To get an idea of just how cold it is up in Minnesota today, just check out the following anecdote that was reported by the BBC

Firemen tackling a blaze in Minneapolis, where temperatures have been below -20C, saw the spray from their hoses turn to ice as it hit the building.

And it is even colder up in Canada.  Things are so cold up in Ontario that “frost quakes” have become very common…

While America collectively freaks out over their impending ‘polar vortex’, Canada is changing the game when it comes to cold weather phenomenon as reports of ‘frost quakes’ emerge from around Toronto and Ontario.

Indeed, as temperatures drop overnight to around -4f around the city hundreds of people are being startled by hearing large booms – causing them to think their homes are being broken into or gunshots are being fired.

In fact, they are merely hearing the after-effects of the frost quakes – or cryoseism – which are more commonly found on a glacier in the polar regions.

So are we really experiencing “global warming”?

Of course not.

If anything, things are actually getting colder.

What the United States and Canada are experiencing right now is making global warming alarmists such as Al Gore look quite foolish.  The following are 10 of Al Gore’s stupidest global warming quotes…

#1 In 2008, Al Gore boldly declared to a German audience that “the entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in 5 years.” (Needless to say, that did not happen.  In fact, the ice cap in the Arctic actually got larger this year.)

#2 “CO2 is the exhaling breath of our civilization, literally. … Changing that pattern requires a scope, a scale, a speed of change that is beyond what we have done in the past.” (Actually, without carbon dioxide life on earth would not exist.)

#3 “The planet has a fever. If your baby has a fever, you go to the doctor. If the doctor says you need to intervene here, you don’t say, ‘Well, I read a science fiction novel that told me it’s not a problem.’ If the crib’s on fire, you don’t speculate that the baby is flame retardant. You take action.” (It sounds like what Al Gore really needs is more cowbell.)

#4 During a speech at NYU Law School in 2006, Al Gore made the following statement: “Many scientists are now warning that we are moving closer to several “tipping points” that could — within as little as 10 years — make it impossible for us to avoid irretrievable damage to the planet’s habitability for human civilization.”

#5 “Here is the truth: The Earth is round; Saddam Hussein did not attack us on 9/11; Elvis is dead; Obama was born in the United States; and the climate crisis is real.”

#6 “The interior of the earth is extremely hot – several million degrees.” (It actually peaks out at about 11,000 degrees.)

#7 “There is an air of unreality in debating these arcane points when the world is changing in such dramatic ways right in front of our eyes because of global warming.”

#8 “It would be an enormous relief if the recent attacks on the science of global warming actually indicated that we do not face an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it.”

#9 “The survival of the United States of America as we know it is at risk. And even more — if more should be required — the future of human civilization is at stake.”

#10 “We ought to approach this challenge [of global warming] with a sense of profound joy and gratitude: that we are the generation about which, a thousand years from now, philharmonic orchestras and poets and singers will celebrate by saying, they were the ones that found it within themselves to solve this crisis and lay the basis for a bright and optimistic human future.”

As time goes by, the scientific evidence continues to mount.  It is becoming painfully evident that the theory of man-made global warming simply is not true.  The following is from a recent New American article

Well, 2013 is almost over, and contrary to the alarmist “predictions” by Gore and what critics refer to as his “doomsday cult,” the latest satellite data show that Arctic ice cover has actually expanded 50 percent over 2012 levels. In fact, during October, sea-ice levels grew at the fastest pace since records began in 1979. Experts predict the expansion to continue in the years to come, leaving global-warming alarmists scrambling fiendishly for explanations to save face — and to revive the rapidly melting climate hysteria.

In September, meanwhile, data also showed that sea ice levels in Antarctica had expanded to record levels for the second year in a row. Of course, by now, virtually everyone who has been following news about “global warming” — now more often referred to as “climate change” owing to public-relations concerns — also knows that global temperatures have not risen for some 17 years. The spectacular lack of warming demolished all 73 of the “climate models” used by the United Nations to push its controversial theories.

Sadly, most of the governments of the planet still consider “man-made global warming” to be one of the greatest threats facing us, and the U.S. government is leading the charge.  In fact, the U.S. government has been giving other nations billions of dollars to help them cope with “climate change”…

American taxpayers spent $7.45 billion to help developing countries cope with climate change in fiscal years 2010 through 2012, according to a federal government report submitted to the United Nations on a subject that Secretary of State John Kerry described as “a truly life-and-death challenge.”

And it appears that Barack Obama plans to make the fight against global warming a major point of emphasis for the rest of his time in office…

When President Obama leaves office three years from now, the major policy story of his second term — barring some kind of unforeseen invasion — is likely to be climate change. I made this argument at feature length last year, and the evidence continues to mount. Coral Davenport reports today about Secretary of State John Kerry’s “systematic, top-down push to create an agencywide focus on global warming.”

Considering the host of other major problems that this country is facing, it truly is ironic that the federal government is spending so much time and energy fighting a problem that doesn’t even exist.

Speaking of ironic, a team of “climate change scientists” that had recently gone down to the Antarctic to study “global warming” had to be rescued by helicopter when their ship got stranded in the ice…

A group of climate change scientists were rescued by helicopter Jan. 2, after being stranded in the ice since Christmas morning. But the majority of the broadcast networks’ reports about the ice-locked climate researchers never mentioned climate change.

The Russian ship, Akademic Shokalskiy, was stranded in the ice while on a climate change research expedition, yet nearly 98 percent of network news reports about the stranded researchers failed to mention their mission at all. Forty out of 41 stories (97.5 percent) on the network morning and evening news shows since Dec. 25 failed to mention climate change had anything to do with the expedition.

In fact, rather than point out the mission was to find evidence of climate change, the networks often referred to the stranded people as “passengers,” “trackers” and even “tourists,” without a word about climate change or global warming.

Yes, the climate of the earth is changing. Throughout history it has always been changing. Most of that change is due to fluctuations in the gigantic ball of fire that our planet is revolving around.

But the idea that carbon dioxide is going to “destroy the planet” is ludicrous.  Without carbon dioxide we would all die.

And the notion that “man-made global warming” is the “greatest threat” that humanity is facing is absolutely laughable.

Sadly, nothing seems to dissuade the true believers.  Not even days like today.

  1. My country got the hottest New Year’s Day since beginning of measurements in like 1903.
It all balances out, that’s the trick.
We’re on a huge red hot ball of lava, 12,000km across. Under a heat lamp hundreds of times this size. We cannot wish to change the temperature at the surface in a significant way. We’re in for a ride. Most of the surface was covered in glaciers, and those were gone long (the most recent time) before we started industrializing.

    • Over such time, even calendars get up for discussion. Was January even a northern winter month 5000 years go?
Cold records do undermine the wamring theory/propaganda some. But no matter, the billions of illegal taxation are already flowing towards Gore&Co.

    • errr yes….the month of January, or the period in time, or position of the earth as represented by the Month of January, has always been a winter month 5000 year ago.

Its not propaganda. Its fact. There is such a thing as global warming. It does exist. Science proves that it exists.

  2. Global warming is real. Only a retard would say otherwise. What on earth has this got to do with silver?

It amazes me that people assume that global warming leads to really hot weather. Global warming means “extreme” changes in weather patterns which in my lifetime I have witnessed first hand.

Now not saying that the earth will not repair itself and that man can fix this, but there is such a phenomena called Global Warming, and it is happening. What it does mean is that you reap what you sow. You change the environment through ignorance and stupidity and the feed back loop will react. This is the earths feed back loop.

    Ice caps, ARE melting.

    http://news.yahoo.com/18-mile-crack-seen-nasa-antarctic-glacier-205345573–abc-news.html

Not going to go into details, as this is just one of those inflammatory pieces to evoke some sort of emotion. I really can’t be bothered arguing the toss over this.

Move along, nothing to see here.

    • Are you aware on the coming and going of ice ages? Where are we on that cycle? Show we be going into an ice age, or moving away from one? How to tell?
Climate change. They’ve done so long before our time.
The earth IMO should be cooling from within, while the effects of the sun may well be intensifying. From where I’m sitting, the changes are slow, or leveling out. And has humanity not been here, it would be little difference. Try and stop the sun from shining (chemtrails) or the earth’s core from boiling.

    • XC Skater, are you a scientist?

If so, you would never propose an argument for or against global warming with the IMO.

Hey if it makes it better for you to sleep at night, saying that “its nature”…then go for it.

      Science says otherwise.

    • WaitingForSilver

You sound like you are on the global warming take. Are you a scientist getting grants from them? You sound like one with the gazzilion posts of climate change drivel you have spewed out on this story. FYI….other planets cool and warm in cycles with the Earth due to the solar cycles while they are uninhabited. Carbon dioxide makes for a greener Earth. Long ago when the deserts were green, the CO2 levels were much higher and the planet grew plants and trees much more readily than now. The whole scheme put forth by Gore et al was solely to create a new global tax without too much of a backlash. The CFR globalists discussed this whole plan/scenario decades ago knowing that we the people would fall for it through guilt. We love to blame ourselves, that’s a given. The vast majority of “scientists” who follow the climate change/global warming script are kept in grant money to do so. Mind you, I understand that we are a scourge to the planet, what with all the poisons we create, but are we responsible for fluctuations in Earth’s mean temperature? Certainly not!

When the fukk are we going to open our eyes to the REAL world? Probably not until the media starts telling us the truth.

Gore and Blood, (you can’t make this shit up), is the name of the company that benefits hugely from the carbon tax and rakes in the dough. Doesn’t it stand to reason that they would push the concept, even in the face of contradiction?

    • Scaring us into paying more tax with global cooling was actually the original plan. Then the ozon and greenhouse things started to catch on, and global warming it was.

  3. Actually we have already done the global cooling thing too, surely some here remember that hype in the 70s?  I remember reading about it but unfortunately missed that fun.

    Newsweek 1975

    http://denisdutton.com/newsweek_coolingworld.pdf

When we talk about something that is over 4 billion years old I find it hard to get worked up about 30 years of data (and i know they all look at more, but the same kinds of people spun the data to show cooling in the 70s)

    • C’mon man … quit the ginned up ‘consensus’ quackery mumbo-jumbo … only TOO BLATANTLY … confabulated from proven false ‘data’ to foist a ‘world tax’ slop-trough for fat squealing hogs of Gore’s ilk. It’s the freakin’ SUN. Which is why the same degrees of ‘climate change’ have been detected on Venus and Mars. NObody’s buying ANY of this crap, so just drop it already.

    • @PatFields

Sadly, people *are* buying this crap.  Even if this is one of those wild blips the climate change people like to talk about, extreme weather yada yada…  We’ve been at this for 4 bln years.  This too will change, i promise.

    • @PatFields,

      Global Warming is a fact.

You educate yourself about economics, politics, law, it seems as if your got a blind spot when it comes to science.

Please tell me you believe in science. I beg you. You do know how many people are out there, researching this stuff? Its not just one man in his pants sitting in his mothers bedroom Pat.

Education is a beautiful thing, you obviously have an aptitude for intelligent conversation and independent research, don’t let your political bias cloud your judgement. Separate the science from the politics.

    • Tell me a scientist you believe in, and I will find you a christian who disputes the credibility of the reverend off your choice.
Science has lost a lot of its credibility. On large issues, non-sollicited scientist find themselves compelled to team up against their claimed confreres to address issues of false info, incomplete research, and flawed reasoning.

Without check your holy scientific sources, I can assure you there are unpaid researchers disputing the info propagated thorugh scientific method.
Science. Use the word with the utmost of care. Don’t treat self-proclaimed scientists with a degree with any respect until you’ve seen their work, and heard their peers and especially opposition.

    • Tell you a scientist I believe in? You for real?

Issac Newton, Max Plank, Albert Einstein. Niels Bohr, Archimedes, Nikola Tesla, Max Born, Gregor Mendel, Rene Descarte. etc

Do I need to go on?

Science works, I type on a machine in the middle of the UK, in a time zone apart. What more proof do you need that science is for real?

    • Do you understand the difference between technology and science?

Most scientists you mentioned are flawed or proposed technology they failed to create.

    • Flawed? Yes, they are flawed, that’s because they are human and not gods. As Issac Newton once wrote “we are standing on the shoulders of giants”, without the flaws in arguments then there would be no human progress.

Yes I do know the difference between technology and science. Technology does what Science predicts and demonstrates. They go hand in glove. Technology is born out of science. Before the computer, you needed a heck of a lot of science to back it up.

      Your point?

      You do believe in Gravity?
      What about electricity?
      Genetics?
      Reasoning?

The Earth does revolve around the sun? Or does it!!!!  liars, the lot of them!!!!!

    • WaitingForSilver … “Global Warming is a fact.”

The most revealing FACT we’ve all learned during this ‘Climate Change’ Punch and Judy Puppet Show segment, is how dangerously much … tax revenue ‘research grant funding’ … slants FAR TOO MUCH ‘scientific’ … opinion.

I’ve lost SO MUCH confidence in what’s been passing for ‘science’ over the past few decades that even now, I find myself seriously wondering if Fukashima isn’t all a trumped up load of crap designed to ‘fill the coffers’. And, this comes from an AVID reader of Science News Weekly, completely transfixed with the broad panoply of mufti-disciplinary developments for almost twenty years. This subject is the source of VERY embittering perception of cavalier betrayal.

  4. @WaitingForSilver
Save your efforts. I have investigated the matter long enough to satisfy my own standard for being informed enough.
I even bought a book from a warmer. Took his opposing sources, and they turned out much more reliable. And his (the warmer’s) flawed.
I believe if you take satellite images, there will be times when surface ice diminishes. It says nothing. And scientist have been well known to be bought by the NWO types. East Anglia Uni or whatever they’re called, made a real mess of it.
We can’t even get scientists to agree on whether a pyramid (cluster) in Bosnia is man-made or naturally formed. Let alone when it was built. And this is just about historical facts to be written up. We most certainly cannot rely on scientist, accredited or amateur, to decide on matters which were brought up only in the light or TAXATION.
Go and ask a bunch of astronomers what exactly we have going on right now. The Ison/Planet-X/Niburu and dwarf star affair. All have elaborate visual proof of their hypotheses, and they’re quite incompatible. Most will turn out to be wrong. Our tax money is gambled on the conclusions of appointed so-called scientists.

It could well be that average surface temparature is currently trending up. And most likely, in the billions of years this rock has been zooming around, it’s been hotter before. Things change. All the time.
When an ice block melts into a cup of water, the temperature of the water drops. Average temp in the cup after administration of the ice, is in fact a constant. Did the water cool due to the ice, or did the ice melt due to the water? For one melting glacier, there’s a pile off ice on Antartica that’s gotten taller. Snowed upon, and melted down less than that. Water is redistributed off the earth constantly. Even at the peak of an ice age this is to be expected. As in the hottest part of interglacial. Which we may be quite close to. Heading towards, or moving away from. And even if we’re going into the next glacial, still the ice caps may seem to be diminishing first. There is no referee calling the end of a glacial. No calendar. Just an unlimited amount of factors. Of which man is one, but not one significant enough to tax itself for it.

  5. Well this whole discussion has opened my eyes up a bit to the type of individual who comes here. If I asked any one of you what the ratio of silver to gold is in the ground you could give me an answer, trust the source, and never question it. That would be scientific fact. Heck you base your arguments for owning Silver on this figure, comparing it to the price of Gold/Silver ratio.

Who do you think came up with this figure? Buddha?

If one of your leaders provided some graph, done some jiggery pokery to it using means, ratios, and or the obligatory logarithmics on it. This would be fact. Of the first order. Not questioned in the slightest.

If Jim Rogers came on with his dodgy dicky bow, then you would lap up whatever came out of his mouth. All truths!!! why? because it suits your nature.

Thousands of scientists tell you something, that you don’t agree with, because it hurts your pocket books, blinded by politics. Then you completely dismiss a thousand scientists, for a single sentence, and for what? Greed.

Sorry, it doesn’t work that way.

    • The modern day charlaton scientists that you refer to have been discredited. Please try to keep up.
You need to crawl out from under your rock and pay attention.!!!

    • what?? who???? who the heck are you???….oh sorry for a minute there I thought you were actually saying something. On closer inspection, its just more random noise coming from an orifice far far away.

    • Issac Newton? Discredited? By whom?

Hang on, let me check something….one Apple…..yup it is falling towards the earth. Now let me look up on this here computer thing what its called….Oh its called Gravity…..wow…who said science was dead?

And there is an SI unit named after him, guess what its called….Newtons!!!!

I knew education was poor , but never in my wildest dreams did I think it was this bad.

    • Falsified data, temperature recoding stations in the middle of asphalt parking lots or in between buildings… GW is not happening. We are just seeing normal variability in the weather along with politicians who see a wat to get rich while taxing the rest of us to death.

  6. Just out of curiosity, something that XC Skater said about the Month of January?

Do you guys know why there is 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year?

Answers on the back of a postcard.

  7. LMAO Well this thread will take your mind off of the Spot Price unless it’s a fear tactic to get you to buy more Silver. Lmao Keep Stacking
P.S. I typed into Google ” Do all scientists believe in Global Warming?” Disclaimer: I have no Interest whatever or Opinion in Global Warming, just stirring the pot. Lol.
Here is one link for Pro’s and Con’s: Have Fun.  https://news.google.com/news/section?pz=1&cf=all&ned=us&hl=en&csid=b6b613ba2e8919db&redirect=true
Albert Einstein once said, “No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong.

  8. I will believe global warming (change) when I see China shut down their coal stacks and I see pictures of Chinese breathing clear smog free air and claim Al as their global warming spokesman.  But Im sure Chinese smog has no affect on the CO2 levels in the atmosphere.  If there is a global warming affect, you dont have to look much further than China’s air quality.  I dont think China is to worried about science’s impact on their infrastructure.

  9. What really chaps my ass about all this “climate change” bs is what the government did to inhalers for asthma/copd.  Banning inhalers with cfc as a propellant.  My old inhaler satisfied my needs quite fine.  1 lasted me all month.  Now, I get this POS thing that I have to use at least twice as much to breathe comfortably.  So therefore my prescription cost has double every single month.

How much damage can come from these little inhalers???
This directly affects me more than any carbon tax can.  It affects my daily health.  Luckily this price increase is not putting me in the poor house just yet.
