Hobby Lobby Refuses to Cover Employee Abortions, Obama Administration Set to Fine Company $1.3 Million/DAY!

The Christian owners of arts and crafts store Hobby Lobby announced Thursday that they will defy the Obamacare requirement of employee abortion coverage after the Supreme Court refused their request for an emergency injunction.   That means Obama’s fascist administration is set to fine Hobby Lobby’s owners $1.3 million A DAY for failing to pay for their employees abortions.

Hobby Lobby filed a lawsuit earlier this year to try and get relief from Obamacare’s abortion mandate. The case is still pending appeal, but the Supreme Court just rejected their request for an emergency injunction. In response, the Christian owners of Hobby Lobby have said they have no intention to pay for the abortion-inducing drugs required by Obamacare. That means that beginning on January 1, the United States government will fine Hobby Lobby $1.3 million dollars per day until Hobby Lobby complies.

  1. Jan 5 is shop at Hobby Lobby day.

  2. “The Bill of Rights begins: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.
Yes, indeed, Hobby Lobby must have a religion since corporations are persons… Hobby Lobby is a christian, a christian that profits of interest when he is a creditor. They should complain about that too, since it’s against christian ethics.

You don’t have a better argument for taking a shot against your government? (foreign relationships/war- , fiscal cliff, pollution, corruption… )

  3. Thats a tough one, I can understand the principles of the Christian owners, but $1.3M a day ?

If the owners want to hang tough, best to close Hobby Lobby rather than capitulate to the evil, fascist regime that America has become.

Burn in Hell, Obama. Judgement Day is coming sooner than you think.

  4. Agreed spaniel! I hope the Hobby Lobby and all other companies that have the same conviction will close down. It would be a real bummer for the workers losing their jobs, but, the only way to stop a tyrannical gov. cold and fast is to take their finances away. Those in power are nothing more than men and women that piss the same as the rest of us.

  5. Just don’t hire any women. Problem solved. But, more to the point, where the hell is their State legislature? Why there isn’t a country-wide, 50 State, bulwark of Nullification statutes in effect … NOW … says volumes about the fact that State and local politicos are as deep into the Plantation Master mentality as the Lying Marxie Kenyan Usurper Alien Cockroach and his commie apparatchik Congress.

    • Family coverage would still be an issue.  Although your plan works great if you only hire single males who agree to having no spouse or children.

    • @saddle … The ideal solution is to get government completely out of health care and insurance altogether. All most folks really need in a free-market health care environment is catastrophic coverage, because the mundane small stuff is permitted to drop down to optimal  ’market value’. But, you see, from the monopoly industrialist mentality perspective, that doesn’t maximize market coverage or minimize fair price competition. Government’s mountains of paperwork and myriad ‘regulatory’ hoops winnows out all but the largest and most well-heeled businesses, who can then go on to charge ever increasing prices at their whim and fancy!

  6. Alien Cockroach???? LMAO Pat. You are right with one little change. “Alien thieving cockroaches“. And all cockroaches are thieves. Ever see a roach the wouldn’t steal your last crumb of bread??????

  7. I support all forms of tax evasion as I am my own sovereign.   I will gladly pay for local services, since I actually use them…. but federal services are a big joke.   I never agreed to govt taxation or funding of programs that I may o may not support.

And for he record, I support abortion rights…. its not the govts place to mandate medical procedures or coverage however.

  8. OK. Stupid question time!
Does the employer pay a % or fixed component directly to the governemt which is intended to go to public medical treatment?
or is the employer directly responsible for obtaining medical insurance for the employee?

    • @Mark    The fixed component is for Medicare.  The employee and the employer each pay 1.45% of the gross.  No employer has any responsibility to provide medical insurance.  However, it is a common benefit.  ObamaCare will change that with mandatory health insurance being required in 2014 in companies with 50 or more employees.  Medicare rates go up, too.

    • Thanks for the explanation @UglyDog
So just like all other taxes, it will be upto congress to allocate the budget accordingly. It would seem a little over the top that Hobby Lobby would think they could control the use of its tax payment (for non abortion medical purposes only)

Ah, if only we could allocate tax expenditure to suite our own life-style. For me and possibly other PM investors that would be simple, pay no tax, look after yourself!

    • @Mark … all tax, State and federal, is a contractual obligation tied in with ’volunteering’ for ‘beneficial’ government programs that it can only imply as ‘manditory’ initially. Of course … AFTER … folks ‘sign on’ … THEN … it really IS ‘mandatory’.

“Inasmuch as every government is an artificial person, an abstraction, and a creature of the mind only, a government can interface only with other artificial persons. The imaginary, having neither actuality nor substance, is foreclosed from creating and attaining parity with the tangible. The legal manifestation of this is that no government, as well as any law, agency, aspect, court, etc. can concern itself with anything other than corporate, artificial persons and the contracts between them.” Penhallow v. Doane’s Administraters 3 U.S. 54; 1 L.Ed. 57; 3 Dall. 54 (1795).

The ‘bright spot’ is that we all start out in Common Law jurisdiction; thus, whatever initial ‘contract’ that was foisted through obfuscation of material facts which prevented a ‘knowledgable’ decision is void for fraudulent inception, so there’s a good chance the whole nightmare can be deconstructed and annulled from start to finish.

    • Mark….You nailed the technical part of the argument.  Is ObamaCare a tax?  The gov’t argues both sides of the issue depending which group the want to convince.

  9. isnt this a bit like saying i dont mind paying taxes for the military but non of it is allowed to be used on nuclear weapons

    • @binahmax … I can cite where the military and navy is provided for in the federal Constitution … can you cite in that charter where general health care is authorized as a duty of government? How about such authorizations in State Constitutions, obligating their governments to provide health care? In the exact same way, you WILL find State Militias provided for.
