A Senate bill that will be voted on next week will allow warrantless access to American’s emails, Facebook posts, Twitter messages, and Google Document files to 21 government agencies.

This is already SOP for the NSA and CIA, now it will simply be legal. Land of the Sheep, home of the Slaves.

Senate bill rewrite lets feds read your e-mail without warrants
Proposed law scheduled for a vote next week originally increased Americans’ e-mail privacy. Then law enforcement complained. Now it increases government access to e-mail and other digital files.

A Senate proposal touted as protecting Americans’ e-mail privacy has been quietly rewritten, giving government agencies more surveillance power than they possess under current law.

CNET has learned that Patrick Leahy, the influential Democratic chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, has dramatically reshaped his legislation in response to law enforcement concerns. A vote on his bill, which now authorizes warrantless access to Americans’ e-mail, is scheduled for next week.

Leahy’s rewritten bill would allow more than 22 agencies — including the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Communications Commission — to access Americans’ e-mail, Google Docs files, Facebook wall posts, and Twitter direct messages without a search warrant. It also would give the FBI and Homeland Security more authority, in some circumstances, to gain full access to Internet accounts without notifying either the owner or a judge. (CNET obtained the revised draft from a source involved in the negotiations with Leahy.)

It’s an abrupt departure from Leahy’s earlier approach, which required police to obtain a search warrant backed by probable cause before they could read the contents of e-mail or other communications. The Vermont Democrat boastedlast year that his bill “provides enhanced privacy protections for American consumers by… requiring that the government obtain a search warrant.”

  1. I have nothing but utter contempt for you 535 EGBs (elitist greedy bastards) in Congress.  Most of you are multimillionaires, some billionaires.  Amazing, when one considers your “salary”.  Any American worth their weight in salt knows you pile of human feces are long overdue for a ride to the out house.  If you read this and want to know how I really feel, just email me!

    • Why email you? They will be able to discern from your account if you are a “terrist” or not.
“If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear”. Lennin, Mao, Hitler, Bamma, (look it up) Congress, Lackeys.

    • That is true! They don’t deserve that much dollars to get paid off and they are doing bad services. Since we, the taxpayers, are paying for this, why can’t we fire these thugs who are greedy for our dollars? So, we should be able to decide on whether the bills should pass or not.

  2. The government is violating our Constitutional and Bill of Rights by implementing this illegal activity in the guise of fighting terrorism.  This is a steamin’ pile!  They will never stop!
Let them begin with the 535 and every government employee first.  No waivers!
    Contact your state Senators.

    • To a man with a hammer, EVERYTHING is a nail… and the paranoid delusions that constitute the anti-terror laws in this country will be the death of it more surely than all of the activities of all the terrorists in the world.  Reminds me of the idiots who used to say stupid things like, “We had to destroy the village to save it”.  More recently it has become, “We must pass this bill so we can find out what’s in it”.  Arguably, this is the most idiotic statement ever made by any politician in all of history… and the morons in her district continue to vote for her.  This is prima facie evidence that only those who are demonstrably competent to vote should vote… as well as run for office.

    • A terrorist is a lot better than a government’s tyranny because the government will be able to put pressures and controls over us. As for the terrorist, at least we can team up with him so that we can fight off the government. Our rights are being violated all over the world but people don’t care about it.

  3. I don’t use facebook or twitter and the only thing they will see on my email is my Internet cable bill and the weekly specials at Foodlion. I might start a facebook page now and only post the video 2 girls 1 cup. I am ready to go undercover on the Internet. Delete  youtube channels, sorry Max and Alex.  No more RT or Debka Files. Will still be watching Hulu and free-tv, can’t miss seeing Arrow, the walking dead, SOA and big bang. Linux proxy server consulting money is looking good…

  4. We have alot of really brainy people on this site. Many know tech like a second language. Is there a way for this Band of Brothers to use a different channel if we need to talk and still remain anon.
As for the 535 bags of s*** that sit in DC. I think the Jimmy Carter era Neutron bomb would be a first-order house cleaning tool. It kills people not does not destroy buildings. Airburst at about 1,500 over the capital while weasels are in full session. Reboot and start over.

    • A single Marine regiment could easily take DC, arrest all these idiots, and put them before a military tribunal to face charges of Treason Against the American People.  Any jock-strapping Marine colonels out there whose men will follow them anywhere, who are as sick of this unconstitutional BS as the rest of us, and who wants a place in history beside George Washington as a father of this nation?  It is incredibly sad that it has come to this but it has and now the choices have dwindled to armed resistance to or acceptance of tyranny.

    • I’m not sure but there’s a way that you can hide your IP address. By hiding your IP, the government won’t know your location. It is a browser called “Tor”. But, the problem with the Tor browser is that it is really slow. The military also uses this browser.

Well AGXIIK we can using a code based on SILVER DOCTORS IS A GREAT SITE FOR HIDING THE TRUTH or something along these lines. Lol
    29,2, 16,17, 6,2,17,29,10,  8,33,

    • How about we all just start using the best encryption software we can find to encrypt all of our emails and web site messages?  Yes, these can be broken but it would be expensive and time consuming.  Using techniques like this could bleed them into submission.  The good part is that about 99.999% of all these emails and messages would contain nothing of any use to TPTB whatsoever.  All that time, money, and effort wasted on nothing at all… nothing but free speech, that is.  🙂

    • If every single american when ever typing anything on the net puts in Key Words like the ones they’er watching for. We would over load the system and make it worthless they can’t fiscally read everything.

Here is a link to ther list
Hundreds of words to avoid using online if you don’t want the government spying on you.

    • But be careful with using codes as communication! There are a lot of experts who can translate the codes so they can discover our messages easily.

  6. Our privacy, freedoms, prosperity and liberties are lost! What’s next? Cameras being installed inside public bathrooms or even worst, inside your own house in every room! If it keeps happening like that, then you can’t even hide your kids and hide your wife anymore lol! Big brother’s watching you!
