The financial sparring between East and West may have taken a very serious turn yesterday and I seriously believe a tactical nuke was set off.
IF this is the case, China will provide proof and they WILL retaliate.
Have the smoldering stages of what was a financial/technological/trade war now become hot with the first shot fired?

8/14 Update requested by Bill Holter: Explosion not a nuke.

Thank everyone for your responses to yesterday’s article, there were well over 500 to which Jim and I have responded to.  I spoke this morning with a nuclear physicist to get her opinion which follows;
“Bill,  The blast is hard to see because a text box is right over the explosion on my screen.  In my opinion, from what I can see, the blast does not look nuclear.  It resembles more an explosion of a large fuel/oil storage tank, as would be found at a port.  Also, there is no info in English on how far the filmers were from the blast, which would help in scale.”
Of the many comments received, the most common was “fuel ordinance”.  I try always to be accurate and get to the truth which is why we went to the source of a scientist.  I now believe the explosion was in fact some sort of fuel or chemical, most common thought amongst comments was LNG (liquid natural gas).  Whether the explosion was or was not an accident may never be known.  Accidents do happen, the “timing” of this accident does add the flavor of curiosity.  Standing watch,  Bill Holter

Submitted by Bill Holter, JSMineSet:

The question of our title is very important, “Did the FINAL WAR just start?”. If you polled Americans on this question, 99.9% would answer “no” if you took out the Middle East. Last week I wrote “The Rumblings of War” regarding the IMF rebuffing China’s entry into the SDR. This was followed up by “The shot heard ’round the world” on Tuesday commenting on China’s surprise devaluation. The purpose of this writing is to show you YES, we are in fact at war!
Rather than “tell” you we are at war, I feel it is better to point out a few dots, connect some of them and then ask a few questions which might help you understand the war that is in fact being waged.

If you can answer some of the questions then connecting dots and forming your own conclusions will be easier.
As our backdrop, we are “told” the world is in recovery from the very bad experience of 2008. Since then, various central banks have monetized debt on a massive scale, led by the Federal Reserve of the U.S.. Undoubtedly, the greatest “export” from the U.S. has been dollars themselves and financial products known as derivatives. For the most part, the world spun merrily until last fall when Saudi Arabia decided to increase production and lower prices. This was presumably done at the request of the U.S. and meant as a tool to injure Russia’s energy sector, economy and financial system. Can the petrodollar which became accustomed to $100 oil be supported with sub $50 oil? There are two sides to this coin, yes the consumer of oil saves but doesn’t lower oil price mean less liquidity in the system? Doesn’t it mean lower velocity and less demand for dollars?

Moving along, did anyone really wonder “why” or what (or better yet, WHO) was behind China being put off for acceptance as a component of the SDR? Then just two trading days later, China devalued their currency in a surprise move…followed by two more devaluations!

Remember, the U.S. has been prodding China to strengthen their currency and has gone so far as to call them a “currency manipulator”! Now we see China doing the exact opposite of U.S. requests (demands?). World markets have been shaken, and at a time when liquidity is quite tight.

A stronger dollar since last fall has acted as a constant and nagging “margin call” to the world which has contributed to the lack of liquidity. Have the Chinese finally said “fine, you want to issue a margin call to the world, we will help you issue it. Let’s see what happens to your financial system when the margin call fails to be met?”. Do you see what I am getting at here? The Chinese are now forcing the dollar higher by devaluing their own currency. They understand the dollar is nothing more than a debt instrument, are they attacking and intending to destroy the dollar with its own strength?

Follow this through, a stronger dollar will decrease our exports and slow our already slow or negative economy. A too strong dollar can actually undermine itself and even kick off a derivatives chain explosion. Our banks and brokers are very thinly capitalized, can they withstand losses in derivatives caused by a currency crisis? Can they withstand the losses from failed counterparties unable to pay? Do you see? A currency crisis “caused” by China could be a calamity. China has already accused Citadel (Ben Bernanke’s new employer) of creating the crash in their equity markets, is a currency crisis retaliation for their equity crash and public shaming by the IMF? If you understand how the Chinese think and also understand the works of Sun Tzu, Jim and I ask if China’s strategy is … “In order to destroy the dollar permanently make it stronger temporarily.”?

Another area to look at is gold and silver. Supplies have recently gotten very tight, not just for retail in the U.S. but all over the world. Has production slowed or have buyers stepped up their hoarding? Or, have Western central banks reduced their “dis hoarding”? Whatever it is, something in the supply/demand dynamics has definitely changed …and it has not taken much money to do it! Are these separate events or are they tied together somehow?

This is where it gets weird or some might say “coincidental”. Did anyone see the explosion at the Chinese port city of Tianjin yesterday? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_92WaPxeqCs “ Yesterday” being one day after China devalued their currency? I am no rocket scientist and cannot say for sure, but does this not look like a nuclear explosion? Can someone out there explain to me in simple terms how a chemical explosion could look like this? As for the word “coincidence”, the CIA says there is no such thing as a coincidence!

Speaking of coincidences and I have permission to pass this along to you. Jim Sinclair wrote just a few days ago for the first time in many a moon, he said “gold has very limited downside from here and could move to $2,000 as an initial stop“.

Do you believe it was a coincidence that he speaks now? No, he was called and was “told” by the same people who guided him in 1980 at the market top. Do you believe it was a coincidence following Jim’s writing, the IMF shunned China followed by the shot heard ’round the world of a yuan devaluation …three times?!!! …not to mention an explosion that could be seen from space! My mind is made up, no it is not any coincidence at all.

For months I have been suggesting Mr. Putin would drop a “truth bomb” revealing all sorts of false flag events and fraud perpetrated by the U.S..
I still believe this is to come and now even more likely. Why more likely?

Because the financial sparring between East and West may have taken a very serious turn yesterday and I seriously believe a tactical nuke was set off. If this is the case, China will provide proof and they will retaliate. I believe the smoldering stages of what was a financial/technological/trade war have now become hot and the first shot was fired. I truly do ask for comments regarding what happened in Tianjin. Please do not send me opinions, I would like to hear exactly why or why not the explosion was nuclear. I will believe a tactical nuke until someone proves to me it was not.

May God help us all with what comes!

Standing Watch,

Bill Holter

  1. Once again, just like the last time a few weeks ago, this explosion had two stages, an initial smaller fireball followed by a large fireball, reminiscent of a flammable fluids event. Look at the videos as it is obvious that the nuke thesis is incorrect. When a nuke goes off people, we will know it, tactical or otherwise.

    • There has been no official explanation of the cause of the explosion. If it was as you stated why wouldn’t the Chinese say so? Are you some sort of explosives expert or what?

    • I have a feeling Castro begins with the absurd first, then fumbles his way back to the rational only after all other approaches have failed.

    • @Whitesharon84

Maybe you have not seen the video. Clearly there were two explosions, not a lit fire. The initial “fire” had embers/shrapnel falling from the sky clearly indication a smaller first explosion a few seconds before the main one..

    • Moar’ conspiracy doom porn.

Ever heard of a Geiger counter?  If this was a nuke they would had known the second it detonated.  Sorry folks, just a volatile explosion that turned a couple new car dealerships into junk yards.   Want a deal on a Volkswagon with some paint damage and melted rims?

    • There has been an increasing frequency of reports of tactical nuke use and the majority of these reports have either directly come from the Gordon Duff gang and Veterans Today, or indirectly by way of the internet being seeded with repostings of content that comes from VT.

The vast majority of these reports are easily deconstructed as total bullshit and it’s very counter-productive that they get picked-up so easily by people like Bill Holter.  Bill, you need to dig deeper because this crap is getting through your BS filter.

      — Eric Dubin

    • Along the lines of Eric Dubin ‘ s comment, the question is if it was sabatoge. Suggesting a nuke was used to secretly blow a chemical plant is incompetent. So easily identified and so unnecessary to bring that much more fuel to the party.

So was it sabatoge, that is the question?

Now if you needed to quickly blow a large steel and concrete building, then a lot of fire power would be necessary.

    • @Flying Wombat

Could not agree more, FW.  There are so many reasons why this explosion cannot be a nuke that one pauses at the ineptness of anyone suggesting with zero evidence that it was.  This is not what one expects from the well-reasoned articles of Bill Holter.

First, a nuclear explosion creates a blinding white light that is very heavy in gamma, x, and UV radiation.  This light is easily detected, measured, and recorded by any of the many sophisticated spy satellites circling the globe that are specifically looking for just such an event.

Second, ALL large explosions and most small ones create a “mushroom” cloud.  This is simply the atmospheric effect from a large fireball that grows suddenly from nothing, expands, rises (stem), and then cools (cap).  The bigger the blast, the bigger the cloud.  A daisy cutter (15,000 lbs of TNT on a pallet) will create a significant mushroom cloud.  When one was used against a small island containing an Iraqi radar and signals center during the 1990 Iraq war, the Brits 20 or so miles from this island thought that it was hit by a US nuke.  It was not but the night-time explosion was pretty impressive anyway.

Third, there are the radionuclides that are nuclear explosion by-products.  These can be detected at very low levels and many miles from a nuclear blast, such as in Japan, Taiwan, or Indonesia, depending on wind patterns.  The type and ratio among the various products is characteristic of the manufacturer / weapon design, so it is possible to determine just who manufactured a nuclear warhead after it detonates and which generation it was.

Last, but certainly not least, a nuclear explosion creates a very characteristic shock wave that can travel for very long distances through the Earth’s crust and is unlike any earthquake, landslide, or chemical explosion.  These are easily picked up and recorded by sensitive seismographs at hundreds of college, university, mining company, and government labs.  If a nuke is detonated anywhere on the Earth, the entire planetary population will be informed of this fact within a couple of hours or less.

Due to the above, no, this was not a nuclear blast.  But it didn’t have to be nuclear to be terribly destructive.  A fuel-air type or ANFO type explosive can be terrifically powerful and do great damage without being nuclear.  See the following URL for details on the 1947 Texas City disaster:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_City_disaster

    • Worst part is they’re turning people off to pm’s.  All this stuff will get pulled up and used against them (and pm’s in general) when we do have a real rally.  I wish they would shut their trap and let the economy take it’s natural course.

    • Hey Zero, You have no clue on my background and what I even happen to know about the gold and silver markets. Ask around here and over at ZH or Turds joint if you think I’m some sort of rookie on this subject. Seriously, I have not read one constructive post from you here at SD’s……ever. Just constant bitching and moaning and telling everyone how wrong everyone else is in the PM sector. From where I sit, you’re pretty soft when it comes to factual and historical analysis on PM’s. Most of the time it appears you just flap your lips without even thinking.

    • Ok, so you’ve been around a long time.  Old age hasn’t made you any wiser.

Not everyone’s been wrong in the PM sector.  Most have, so I don’t listen to those folks.  What you have is a problem with disagreement.  To you everyones a troll.  You have a totalitarian personality type and that’s fine, but if you keep investing with that attitude you’l have to sell your comrade cap for toilet paper.

    • Zero

Bay has much experience…………………… Mabey listen a little.

I`ve been in it since 1981. Gold and Silver are a statement, not an investment. Gold and Silver are Constitutionaly pure. Fiat is relatively recent. Study the history, not just the price movment, and you may come to a different conclusion. I`m just sayin.

    • Be careful about flippant dismissal of Bill Holder’s musings. There is irrefutable proof that a micro nuclear device(s) was detonated at the explosion in Aleppo Syria on 3rd October 2011. Nuclear bomb technology has advanced by quantum leaps and continues at an ever faster pace. By 2008 nuclear bombs, or the NeoCon term ‘explosive device’ had been miniaturized to the size of a coffee cup. Further, after detonation normal levels of radiation are not present. This class of explosives use a core that is 99.8% plutonium, and radiation is not detected by a Geiger counter. Only Muller Tube testing can measure the alpha radiation caused by the detonation.  A signature crater is present; varying in size and depth depending on surface or sub-surface placement of the device. The US and Israel are thought to be at the forefront of this technology.

Bill Holter has gotten very close to the truth in this case, whether by logical thinking or by coincidence. But then the higher the stakes, the lower the chance of coincidence. Look beyond this explosion in China and observe who had the most to gain.. or lose and the situation may become more transparent.

    • …whatever it was, it was a detonation,  oil and gas explosions are lower level thermal reactions than nuclear

http://tinyurl.com/of2uyzn   – see any white light in these pictures,  also refinery fires will burn for hours.

VT did a well researched article on low yield nukes alleged to be used in the 911 twin towers demolition

      http://www.veteranstoday.com/2014/06/02/vt-nuclear-education-undeniable-proof-of-911-as-a-nuclear-event/

…at the very least high explosives were used and the quantity required to be covertly delivered to a target in mainland China makes the original premise even more likely.

    • @ Old Doc

I’ve had issues with BH (have a written apology from his editor in one case) but see nothing wrong with this post. He is clearly reporting a “suspicion” and is asking for facts to either support or debunk it… very reasonable.

. Cause (of the blast) theories seem to have been ignored, when they are usually a top priority in disaster reporting.

. The timing is “interesting’ to say the least.

. For those that haven’t been listening, the usual Neocon suspects (including NATO) have been talking up the use of Tactical Nukes for a while now (seems to be a “conditioning” effort to re-classify them… as in, they are not “really” nukes, and are legitimate battle field assets).

. Many do believe they were used on 9/11

. There are some credible stories that the Bush/Chaney criminals used one to wipe out Saddam’s Elite force who were holed up in the Baghdad Airport in the early days of the invasion (including eye witness reports of mushroom cloud explosions… never published in the west of course).

And the most obvious alternative is that Langley simply did it by conventional means (wouldn’t take much to set it off in that chemical wasteland) to send a message… a more likely scenario, and one that would probably never go public.

      Interesting times indeed.

      Edit:

Re the US would never comments…

Of course thy are correct, but it I would point out the most nefarious actions by the Langley Boys are not necessarily initiated by the US Government.

  2. This is a ludicrous assertion.

Everyone knows that the USA is a flabby out of condition boxer that can put up a good fight for the first round with a weak opponent but when it comes to a real opponent like Russia or China on their home turf the contest is a mismatch.

For the USA to detonate a tactical nuke in China would be like someone in a nudist colony poking a stick in a hornets nest.

Go back to the ranch Holter with your pretend cowboy hat.

    • Hi Bill,

Thanks for the inside baseball, re JS.

Bill, you’re brilliant and I love you man, but do you really believe we’d start WW3 with a pin prick?  As a former US naval officer and service academy grad, my humble take is no.

ps  All the best from Central Am.  After 20 years in CR, I also moved a few years back, but south.

    • The U.S. military maybe or may not be a lot of things but one thing is for sure, IT IS TO BE FEARED and only a fool wouldn’t. The Chinese and Russians know this. They don’t want war with the west for all the obvious reasons, no one wants war except all these gov. But don’t think for a min. the U S military would lose that war or that the red Chinese have some sort of undefeatable military, they don’t, they could for sure lose and lose big, AND THEY KNOW IT! You don’t have a clue what weapons the U S military has, none of us do. One thing is a pretty good bet though. They are light years ahead of the Chinese in weapons development! I doubt it was a nuke but then in this age nukes are almost certainly obsolete.

    • @GBS: For some reason the U S and the west in general don’t seem to be very impressed or fearful of the Russian or Chinese militaries. Maybe you know something they don’t! As far as sticking their fingers in hornets nests, that doesn’t seem to keep them awake nights either. They’ve been doing just that for quite some time!

    • @RocketsRedGlare.

The USA had it’s arse kicked in Vietnam by people with pointy sticks and a bowl of rice.

Trying to take on China and Russia on their home grounds is historically a bad idea.   The logistics of support for one thing.   It’s OK to look big and tough when you can bomb a place like Iraq but when it comes to REAL war with an adversary that has nuclear capability then you are asking for defeat.   One Russian fighter aircraft took out the electronics system of one of the most technically advanced US warships recently.

If you are going to have a war with Russia or even China on their homeland then you need thousands and thousands of troops and logistics.   You need to be able to hold areas and resist counter-attacks by a determined adversary that has equally sophisticated weapons.   I’d give the US three weeks if they mounted an attack within Russia on the ground.   Then the supplies would run out.    You’ve never experienced a REAL war in the USA but us Europeans have.   I’m against any wars because it’s always the average person that suffers.

    • @GBS: You’ve been watching to much TV. Vietnam was a political defeat not a military one. It was the US Army that did the ass kicking in Vietnam! Don’t believe me, count the bodies. I’m not debating the wright or wrong of it just the facts. You’re lost and confused. Forget about it, You don’t have a clue, you just talk trash’ You’re embarrassing yourself.

  3. 1st it was Israel setting off a tactical nuke in Yemen, now the CIA sets one off in China. [*******]!!! Where was the white light that blinds anyone who looks at it when a nuclear weapon is detonated? Go watch The Terminator, and give us a break, please!

    • Redglare…how much history do you know?  Any before you were born?

If so, you might remember 2 notable failures of messing with the Russians across 12 time zones.

Napoleon marched his Grand Army of 300,000 into Russia and 10,000 made it back to France.  Hitler sent his Wermacht (Defense Force) in and the Russians ended the foot soldier war in WWII (not the US) by wiping out the Wermacht.  Maybe the Neocons are smart enough not to do the same but if not the result will be the same and lots of people will die.

    • @Angusdude: Yeah I know a thing or two, obviously more than your limited, biased understanding. Trying to invade Russia on horse back not such a good idea. Hitler had Russia by the throat with a mechanized infantry and air forces and would have defeated them if not for American assistance. Napoleon, please! You embarrass yourself.  You should find an easier crowed to try and bullshit. We weren’t taking conquest anyway, just mayhem and destruction in modern warfare. I’m sure all the corrupt dirty big dogs of the world want to fight. If only as a way to hide their crimes. But no one really wants to fight a hot war with NATO or the US right now. Any one that goes spouting off BS about how the US military can’t fight has never been across from the American military on a battle field!

    • @Angusdude: Your little smart ass remark and showing your ignorance, that’s embarrassing. Your’re just to stupid to see it. Wow the Chinese have mach 10 missiles.  So what. The U S Air Force has mach 10+ S C R A M Jets that can go into space and disappear out there for years at a time. You’re talking weapons systems that date back to the 1930s and 40s. The number of missiles, multiple entry warheads and all that are good if you want to blow up the world. But, they won’t win WW III. You and that other trash talking yahoo think you know how WWIII would play out because you read something in a magazine or a blog. You don’t know shit from apple butter.

    • @doofrog

“Good thing that Obama outlawed Russian Winters through executive order.”

Indeed so… probably via some sort of directed global warming weapon to back up that EO.  lol

  4. No mushroom cloud.  I’ve seen 500 pound bombs s plode.  I’ve never seen a big warehouse full of them go off.  I’m sure they’ll clean up the mess in good time.  They’ve got a good way of doing things in China.

    • Redglare, you seem to like to call names and declare that people are embarrassing themselves.  It is your commentary that is embarrassing.

Perhaps you’re not as smart as you think.

You give no facts and yet give the back of your hand to Napoleon, considered a tactical genius, one of the greatest tacticians ever, shows you know very little.  Yes he lost at Waterloo and would have won there if not for the Prussians entering the fray.  I’ve been there and seen the field of battle.

The Russians now have surpassed the US in nuclear warheads and have declared they now can not be stopped by US defenses.  They don’t want a fight.  It’s the saber rattling Neocons who can’t brook competition.  Flag officers heading for cushy consulting gigs.  R and C do not fear the US, they know exactly how weak we are.

The Chinese now have the Dong Feng, LACM.  Carrier killer with 1200 mile range flying at Mach 10.  US Navy is quaking in their boots about it and talking about trying to upgrade the old cruise missile.  The Chinese have enough missiles to overwhelm US defenses according to them and others.  Do you think some modicum of air power will help when the carriers are sunk?

If the Neocons choose to pick a fight with either R or C they pick a fight with both and we will be smacked down in short order.  Thanks in large part to Obama.

  5. Of the three types of nuclear blasts this one would classify as a surface blast if indeed it was a tactical nuke.  There would be this thing that goes along with it as well.  I think it’s called a crater.  Since there have been no reports of radiation associated with the blast well then I guess we can rule out a tactical nuke.

  6. that explosion was the best jewish lighting i have ever saw. hey bill, with all the over production of auto’s,and channel stuffing to the gills at car dealerships with no one being able to afford a decent used car.would you think that was done on purpose for the insurance. because brand new cars sitting there, waiting to be bought for ever?hmmm. had nothing to do with the devaluation of three times on the yuan. we are in a world depression, the last thing the chinese should want now is  be included into the sdr, especially in a depression. what you should be saying is,”who are the underwritters”, of all the damaged goods in and around all the other warehouses up to and including thousands of brand new cars that will never be sold,”that just had to go poof, and up in smoke is rather more likely the case than not. you see bill, if theres anything that the chinese are good at,as are some of the folks who run this country here, is that they all know how to play the game of insurance fraud. now that no one is buying anything from china, then what’s suppose to happen with all this stock of useless chinese goods that are not going to come here to wally world. maybe jewish lighting was another way to get their sixty cents back on all products produced. so bill, you hear about the story of the tradesman whose truck was robbed of his tools because they were old,and he didn’t have enough liquidity to go out and buy new. jewish lighting bitchezzzzzzzzzz

  7. I am glad that the readers who replied show some common sense. I am so very sick and tired of these moron’s creating conspiracy theories that the uneducated, mentally ill, and the just plain stupid believe. Many of these people throw this crap out and lie about “special secret friends” that told them things. They call that schizophrenia. They also use these conspiracy theories to sell gold, silver, penny stocks, etc.

Thank God again, that you all pointed out the obvious, keep it up and don’t let these bulls–t hustlers continue to spread their moronic theories.

Take care and God bless, respectfully, American Warrior

  8. Smells like a Massive QE Bomb to me. Yes the timing is perfect. A china 9/11. With there economy and stocks falling like gold bars from the moon. This event if there gov plays it right could be worth 100 trillion U.S. dollars. The Europens Japan USA and now China will be pulling the printing press magic and at the end there people see hardly any of the new printed and mega bank deposits. Hello to the NWO Bank of the single one world currency.

  9. Can’t see the Americans dropping a nuke on China lol..if they did it would be a systematic synchronized attack on all Russian and Chinese military facilities. If…lol

I think The Sino-Russian axis is way too strong for the US to even think of that; but it doesn’t preclude the US lobbing a few molotov cocktails, under the mask of anonymity, does it? If it is sabotage, very hard to prove who is behind it.

  10. All of you guys are amusing. Why not wait until a Chinese official report of the cause is stated. @BayofPigs, hang in there, Zero BS is most likely a crossover troll from the SLV message board. All in all who really knows the whole skinny about explosives? and @fg3932, did you have a Top Secret clearance?, know everything that is explosive in the U S arsenal?, the military industrial complex has developed such feenominal bullshit explosives, that they most likely have a nuke bomb to take a mosquito off a dog’s ass and the dog would never know it happened? by the way south needs to be capitalized. I just love expert opinions, but Bill could be right and if he is wrong, after reading him a long time, it will be the first wrong he ever stated.

    • Hey Ranger,

      [*****……]
While I graduated in the top 10% of my class, I was certainly the dummy of the family, as my sis Jean Mccarroll was a Merit Scholar with radcliffe, and harvard diplomas.  I’m quite proud of her.
      [………..]

    • Ranger, you don’t seem to understand the basic physics of a nuclear device. It is the sudden conversion of matter into energy that always produces electromagnetic radiation across the whole spectrum: radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, x-ray and gamma ray. The proportions of each of these emission will vary depending on the type of device, but they are all present. The visible light is so intense that it always appears white when recorded on film or video, but if you looked at it directly with your eyes unprotected, it would damage your eyesight.

  11. Wholly Hell, look at the SIZE of that thing! (Cut the chatter Red-2)

That has got to be he biggest conventional explosion I have ever seen. I would totally think nuclear myself, but the blinding light and EMP are tell tale signs of a nuke. I cant play video at sea, but someone above stated that the blinding white light is absent. I think thats factual enough to dismiss a nuclear explosion.

  12. Looks like an insurance job to me.  Very common in economic downturns.  As we move into a Great Global Depression most of China’s hard assets will be turned spectacularly into fiat paper and they will all move to Australia and live on the proceeds.  Obvious really.

    • @goldenguy

“looks like an insurance job to me.”  That is by far the best response on here. If you really think about where it happened and what got destroyed and what’s going on with China’s economy, those toasted cars weren’t going to sell. I can’t believe everybody on here and how at each other’s throats they are. Also I can’t believe how many Ph.D’s in tactical nuclear weapons we have on this message board!!!! We should all feel so safe knowing these brilliant minds are hard at work on SD and not at the Pentagon or CIA. I’m just wondering which Chinese insurance company is about to get the shaft. Boy I hope it’s not a stateside company that got roped into insuring that business and then <boom> my premiums go up.

  13. As the seond explosion took place within an existing fire the oxidisng agent was already mixed with the chemical that exploded as judged by the intensity of the explosion.  It went up at once, there wasn’t a series of pops and no time to mix in air with flames all around.  Potassium chlorate.  That is my guess.  Unpassivated.

  14. Philip Hammond from Conservative Party UK was in Tianjin the day before the explosion. Coincidence? Who is he? Does anyone know? Barack Obama was in the village in Mexico just before the swine flu broke out there in 2009. Coincidence? Jusy saying……   https://www.conservatives.com/OurTeam/Members_of_Parliament/hammond_philip

Philip Hammond offers Condolences to Chinese people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxtI9A-o0WQ

  15. For [*****] sakes!

Stop it with these fear mongering type headlines. Last week it was the “Devastating Meteor Strike In Iran: “Destruction On An Unimaginable Scale”. That turned out to be a nothing story.

This is tiring and a worthless read. Basically it is just a regurgitation of stale news on China’s devaluation of the yuan and her economic problems.

This is so far from a “Final War” that is insults your reader’s intelligence.

Couldn’t it be just a huge chemical plant explosion? Why does everything have to be twisted to give more fuel for others to pen this community as tinfoil hat-ish?

Please please please, no more bullsh*t.

  16. As a relatively newly minted “stacker” and voracious consumer of alternate media emanating from “Planet Stacker,” I have come to usually very much appreciate Bill Holter’s commentary.  But Bill, this is clearly not a nuclear explosion.  To paraphrase the old cliche about pornography, if it had been a nuclear explosion captured on video, you would definitely know it when you see it.  There would be no question whatsoever.  It would be that distinct.  I also agree with the tenor of Eric Dubin’s comment: speculative commentary of this sort is counter-productive and tends to confirm the generally false stereotype that “stackers” are typically short when it comes to critical thinking assets.

  17. There is an explosion on You Tube that shows the explosion at Henderson NV many years ago  As I recall it was a chemical and rocket fuel plant   Primary explosion was a doozie but the second one was so large you would think it was nuke but no blinding flash

As for Holter, He does miss the mark occasionally and I think this is one of them.  His incisive analysis on China provides a decent peek into the Middle Kingdom.  The stock market,  currency deval and other systemic problems give us something to read that shows up China as a big fly looking for a windshield

IMO this looks like a carelessness at a factory or other building that was chemical.  China is not known for being careful when dealing with peoples lives,  Chinese mine disasters kill hundreds at a time and no one reports on that–or rarely does

    • @AGXIIK

I reccon the article title is sensationalist rubbish and that there is absolutely no chance that this was a nuke. Holter will only harm his credibility making such statements for sure

However, the timing of the Chinese deval (3 of them now) after the IMF reserve basket rebuff only a week ago, and the LOCATION of this blast just 1 day after the deval, highlights it as highly suspect.

How many explosions this big have ever occurred in Chinese Port cities before? Better still, how many explosions of any size have occurred at Tianjin, the main port of Beijing, the pivot for the BRICS alternative for the IMF signed off on 7/7/2015 in Ufa, Russia?

We should all remember that TIANJIN was the last port city in the Opium Wars to be forced open by the UK, France and the US, and that opening up the Chinese market for Western looting, which is what is being asked of TPTB behind the IMF, was not only the agenda in the 1800’s but is now the agenda in the new millennium.

The very fact that this happened in Tianjin of all places just 1 day after the ‘shot heard round the world’ (which is exactly what it was), should be enough to suggest that this event is highly likely to be an act of western sabotage.

Obviously it was not a nuke, but how easy would it be to have pre-scouted out a deposit of high explosives/explosive fertilizer(?) and to have deliberately detonated it? This is the kind of bread-and-butter exercise that the CIA partake in historically. Surely the NATO sphere was expecting such an overt series of devaluation in complete contravention to the requests of western banksters for China to allow its currency to appreciate. This was the Chinese flipping the bird, and assets for the CIA responding in my opinion.

Here’s a graphic I recently made that describes the situation quite well :)

  18. Don’t misunderstand me on the basis of my previous post.  Although I am certain this was no nuclear blast, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t intentional.  It may very well have been … however, if it was, the motivations of the actor(s) are as yet unclear.  It could have been as simple as an inventory-clearing insurance play by a stressed-out market loser.  Or it could have been a less-dramatic scheme gone awry.  Or it could have simply been an industrial accident in a warehouse packed to the gills with volatile chemicals.

Either way, it clearly wasn’t a tactical nuclear weapon.

  19. I was just edited for this toward someone who attacked my post, “Pathetic, fetid, jerk.”

By editing my remarks you’ve made it appear that I spoke far more harshly.  I’ve read some truly extreme posts here, far surpassing my relatively mild response.

Thanks though…good luck with your peddling enterprise.

  20. State news agency Xinhua said the first blast was equivalent to three tonnes of TNT and the second blast 21 tonnes of TNT.

A photographer from the Beijing Youth Daily captured the chilling aftermath at ground zero, with a cluster of industrial buildings in Binhai reduced to ashes and piles of smoking debris. The blasts were powerful enough to crumple shipping containers and flatten nearby warehouses into twisted pieces of sheet metal.

The force of the explosions – which blew walls and windows off apartments and office towers, sending shattered glass and concrete flying – unnerved residents across much of the city of 15 million people.

Shell-shocked residents posted photos of their homes, with unhinged doors and other damage. Photo: Beijing Youth Daily

“It was like what we were told a nuclear bomb would be like,” said truck driver Zhao Zhencheng, who spent the night in the cab of his truck a few kilometres from the accident site. “I’ve never even thought I’d see such a thing. It was terrifying but also beautiful.”

Testament to the devastation, eyewitnesses compared the strength of the blasts to military bombs. “Our building is shaking. Is this an atomic bomb?” a frenzied voice is heard saying in amateur footage posted on YouTube from what appeared to be an apartment building some distance away from the Binhai New Area, the epicentre.

  21. The problem with the naysayers is what other response did the U.S. Have to what the Chinese did?  And so far there have not been any other devaluations. If there are no further devaluations the answer is this is a nuke .  If it was a nuke the Chinese have only two responses left be taken over by the U.S. Or further devaluations.  The U.S. Is bluffing and China has to call the bluff.  The U.S. Cannot get away with a first strike.  Look for another shot across the U.S. Bow soon.

    • If this explosion was an act of sabotage and Chinese investigators can prove US involvement, then a similar blast on Guam, Hawaii, port of San Francisco, or other US target in the Pacific could be a counter-move on China’s part.  China is not the sort of nation that gets slapped and then does nothing about it.  Something WILL be done if this blast was intentional and initiated by a foreign government.

  22. Tactical nuke, in a shipping container, by the butler.

Tact nukes come in a .3 kt and 1 kt versions and above. A 1 kt tact has a 1000 foot blast radius at sea level. As the guy above said, miniaturization and ingredients can defy radioactive signatures from being detected. Other videos show tacts being used in Ukraine and Yemen for comparisons. The fireball: aluminum alloy rims melt at 1200 degrees. Alloys usually are aluminum and magnesium both melting at around 1200 degrees. I can’t see a chemical fireball of this size without a very large holding tank. No holding tanks are seen in a shipping container/vehicle drop off yard. Temps can shoot up quickly with plutonium where a chemical fireball would need to be constant to burn out cars and melt alloy rims at 1000 feet. Then there is that shock wave. Yes there were two explosions. The video shows that much although the first one was not shown it it’s entirety.

The Sino-Satanist currency devaluation was met with a tactical answer from the Anglo-Satanists. By bringing online Iranian oil and natural gas (see Iran Deal), the Soviet-Satanists will be reduced to their selling their gas and oil to China. So for me, it all fits as much as I understand the cunning and ruthlessness of the Anglo-Satanists. Russia is hammered by low oil and gas prices, China is hammered by manipulations in the markets, and the Anglos are winning. Btw, without Chavez, the world’s largest oil reserves are in our backyard (under our control) which explains why Cuba is being softened up.

    • Look, my support of a tact is based on the fact our side is capable of it and according to The Beijing News, Rui Hai at one point submitted documents saying it did not handle dangerous chemicals. So wtf is one to think?

    • “… according to The Beijing News, Rui Hai at one point submitted documents saying it did not handle dangerous chemicals. So wtf is one to think?”

One of two possibilities occurs to me: 1) intentional sabotage; or 2) they lied.  Either seems a lot more likely than using a nuke, even a small one, against a foreign nuclear power.

  23. what surprises me most is that people jump in immediately and dismiss what bill holter said. then again, there are so many disinformation agents both here and elsewhere that i guess i should not be surprised.

there is ample evidence to show that a couple of governments have blown planes out of the sky on more than one occasion, made some planes “vanish”, blown up buildings with their own citizens in it, and done so many bombings and other false flag and terrorist events around the world. while we should not assert anything until we have more information and more thought/analysis, let’s not dismiss anything yet. what bill holter said is entirely plausible, even if not done by a nuclear device.

    • @bay-of-pigs

the idiots and morons here who genuinely do not understand some/many things (but do try to) i do not consider them to be idiots and morons. we all made mistakes when we were learning how the world really works. when we were learning we too found it difficult to comprehend the magnitude of the criminality of some of our governments, media, bankers, and big business.

IMO most of the idiots and morons here are deliberately being so. i cannot believe the massive number of accounts/aliases everywhere who post disinformation and diversions. the criminals are now shit scared because their MSM does not work as it did before. they are here in full force but still losing the battle. for example, if you visit silverstackers.com you will see 2 prominent members: -j-p-shmorgan and wrcmad – they present themselves as metals enthusiasts with lots of trades but you constantly see subtle trashing of them, e.g.: silver will reach $5, don’t buy now wait until it drops, there is no manipulation at all and you’re crazy if you think there is (despite one of them claiming to trade futures and having extensive knowledge). this is a war these people are putting on. it takes good people like us to expose them and their lies.

  24. just a simple question… what kind of explosive ( and its weight ) to do this kind of damage

one more question… what kind of explosive ( and its size ) that showup on seismograph equivalent of 2.3 to 2.9 Richter scale

  25. @ronym

I saw the video earlier but those pics certainly give more of a perspective.

I can not answer your questions…I am sure someone will jump in and try…

But wholly molly look at the extent of that destruction!

Looking at it is one of those WTF was that moments.

  26. Here’s what I think it may be?

A thermobaric weapon is a type of explosive that utilizes oxygen from the surrounding air to generate an intense, high-temperature explosion, and in practice the blast wave of such a weapon produces a typically significantly longer duration than a conventional condensed explosive. The fuel-air bomb is one of the most well-known types of thermobaric weapons.

Most conventional explosives consist of a fuel-oxidizer premix (gunpowder, for example, contains 25% fuel and 75% oxidizer), whereas thermobaric weapons are almost 100% fuel, so thermobaric weapons are significantly more energetic than conventional condensed explosives of equal weight. Their reliance on atmospheric oxygen makes them unsuitable for use underwater, at high altitude, and in adverse weather. They do, however, cause considerably more destruction when used inside confined environments such as tunnels, caves, and bunkers – partly due to the sustained blast wave, and partly by consuming the available oxygen inside those confined spaces.
    Mechanism
In contrast to condensed explosive, where oxidation in a confined region produces a blast front from essentially a point source, a flame front accelerates to a large volume producing pressure fronts both within the mixture of fuel and oxidant and then in the surrounding air.[2]

Thermobaric explosives apply the principles underlying accidental unconfined vapor cloud explosions, which include those from dispersions of flammable dusts and droplets.[3] Previously, such explosions were most often encountered in flour mills and their storage containers, and later in coal mines; but, now, most commonly in discharged oil tankers and refineries, including an incident at Buncefield in the UK in 2005 where the blast wave woke people 150 kilometres (93 mi) from its centre.[4]

A typical weapon consists of a container packed with a fuel substance, in the center of which is a small conventional-explosive “scatter charge”. Fuels are chosen on the basis of the exothermicity of their oxidation, ranging from powdered metals, such as aluminium or magnesium, to organic materials, possibly with a self-contained partial oxidant. The most recent development involves the use of nanofuels.[5][6]

    • wow wow… i even doesn’t notice that
you just right… Directed Energy Weapon or EMP like weapon
hundred if not thousand of car engine…  instantenously burnt

although 100 meter even a kilometer away from blast zone !!!

then all interior and tyre burn

      how it is happened ?
EMP shock will catch by ignition coil and alternator coil in the car

      ( electromagnetic induction )
that will generate electric spart ( static electric discharge )

EMP can be produced by nuclear like explosion ( SADM will do that )

( by the way… all of conventional explosive will not produce EMP )

  28. Bill Holter is a very sharp guy… but on this one he did a major belly-flop.  NO chance this was a nuke, China would have figured that out in less than 24 hours and the retaliation against a weakened USA, with our craven, pathetic moron Chimp-in-Chief… and totally corrupt political class… would be horrific.

  29. Well I for one am glad he solicited a scientist rather than God to confirm the true cause of the blast. Kudos to Mr. Holter for taking a step back for a deep calming breath before taking his foot out of his mouth.

  30. let we take a closer look

    http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s–jQwEXwfd–/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/1383962731971770182.jpg

so where the fire first start ?
from outside the car ? then how the engine catch fire ?
how about if the fire from inside the car … yes the engine that first in fire

but the next question is… how it is possible ?
how can the engine that burn first, then the cabin / interior

    that’s a tricky question…

but you know what… there is more tricky question

there are hundred if not thousand of car which burn this way

although its distance hundred meter away from blast zone

    http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s–CX3ZCWYM–/c_fit,fl_progressive,q_80,w_636/1383962732458891334.jpg

so the question are, what kind of explosive that can do this weird thing ?

    • Well since very few of us if any are likely to be expert forensic scientists with full access to the evidence, I suppose we can all speculate.

The engines are likely aluminium block which have a lower melting point than the metal frame and body …. to start with.

There is no evidence to indicate what caught fire first from the picture above but logic suggests the fire ball hit the exterior of the cars before the interior.

It’s not a really a tricky question. Again, basic logic suggests the exterior exposed to fire ball before interior but there is no evidence to indicate such detailed sequence of events and who cares anyway? All these cars are toast regardless and the insurance company is going to take a big hit on this deal.

Again my best guess is a fuel explosion … no, it was not a tricky or weird thing to agree with Holter’s scientist that fuel depots are a common occurrence at shipping ports. And it was a fireball visible from space satellites … yes, it was a very big giant fire ball explosion.

Hey ronym ….the really trick question here is what kind of stuff are you smoking? I didn’t see any Saudi’s flying jet airliners into this scene. Did you? Or are you suggesting AIG was the insurer of all these crispy cars?

    • ronym,

Where is that image from?  I suspect there is an intention to convey it is from China and the recent explosion in Tananjian (is that spelled right?).  If this is true and the cars were not engineless to start with we seem to be looking at a 9/11 type event.  Big engine blocks do not evaporate and leave the thin tin plate behind, obviously.  If so then Holter is right to suspect a “not-conventional” weapon.  It is a weapon.  Directed Energy weapon? Possibly, but I do not know what that means, neither do most proponents of such (especially Judy Woods).  It is a handy label and that is all for those not in the know.

If that image is genuine and from the “T” place then this was an attack.  The site chosen was to enable the chinese authorities to blame chemicals.  The reason for the attack was as a warning to Beijing.  It is a demonstration of capability.  If I were to take a not-so-wild guess this is a Washington job.  One might speculate they are working for the NWO who are becoming concerned that China and the BRICS might desert the fold.

Looks like we are going to get the SDR and global fascism.

    • But Holter already admitted he was wrong …. read the update at the very top of the article.

Speculate all you want but hopefully you won’t make any wrong decisions on your speculation. Best of luck to you.

    • Ag patient,  Note you suggested alumium block engines.  I had not thought of that.  I have never had such.  There is one photo of a part melted alloy wheel so that could explain things.

  31. let we compare with 911
    http://www.drjudywood.com/articles/DEW/dewpics/21.jpg

do you see any similarities ?

yup… its engine, interior and tire burned !

okay one more weird thing… where is the car located ?

something you would not expecting… half miles away from WTC

    http://www.drjudywood.com/articles/DEW/dewpics/010900_lg-map-aerial1red.jpg

what ? are you kidding me ?

maybe you will say… oh its just a coincidence… that’s only one or few car burn that way

do you know what the problem is ?

like in Tianjin… there ara 1400 car burned this way in 911

    http://www.apwa.net/Publications/Reporter/ReporterOnline/index.asp?DISPLAY=ISSUE&ISSUE_DATE=032004&ARTICLE_NUMBER=770

if one or two car… even 10 car… burned this way, maybe it’s a coincidence but 1400 car ?

    • Only similarity I see is the insurance companies taking a hit on these deals.

This picture does not show one way or the other whether the engines have been melted or not and even if they are there is an easy explanation … some materials are more resistant to heat than others …. what is so hard about that to understand. For example, take a piece of paper and place it over a cigarette lighter and then do the same with a glass bottle … now which do you think will catch fire first? It’s called common sense.

Please, get yourself some sleep … you need a break.

  32. Missing car engines…

I have been looking for online reports of the missing car engines and find nothing and the image presented seems to have no source or claim to represent Tanjian events.  It may do, just doesn’t claim to.  On other photos of the 8,000 cars destroyed all I have seen still have their hoods present so I can’t see any missing engines.    So without any real evidence I am disinclined to take the directed energy weapon story too far.  The sheer acreage of cars damaged in a very similar way but without seemingly being moved by the blast wave and seemingly quite a long way from the source of the explosion is very odd to me.  There is a photo showing a part melted alloy wheel but alloy can melt as low as 500 degrees celcius or less so heat is possible in this case.  Cars not moving but incinerated does seem odd.

  33. @goldguy
you are right… cars not moving ( or deformed ), but incinerated does seem odd
meanwhile lot of container deformed and only few of them burned
( lot of them still have paint in it… just metal deformation from high kinetic energy )

    http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2015/08/photos-from-the-aftermath-of-the-devastating-tianjin-explosion/

both of them are seems odd for “ordinary explosive / fire”
if car burned by let say gasoline fire, then why container are still have paint in it ?

( not turning black… although supposedly located in the blast zone )

meanwhile thousand of car is burned, but not deformed ( not like container )

and again, that thousand of car are located hundred of meter away from blast zone

    • Pity their is no overview so you can see the exact disposition.  However while the hoods may have blown away the engines didn’t.  They didn’t melt either.  I doubt that scavengers were removing them through the night in order to sell the blocks on ebay…OK they could be rejects because the maker forgot to put engines in – didn’t somebody say they were french?  Mmmmnn maybe the engines got removed by staff and they thought up this cunning plan to cover their tracks?  Kaboom!

Maybe the authorities should be looking for french car engines on ebay or alibaba?  It is either that or directed energy weapons.

  34. okay let say we just disproof all of that picture
but how about “like a nuclear explosion” rumor
that spread by NBC, BBC, etc ?
    .
    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/tianjin-explosions-californian-witness-filmed-dramatic-china-blasts-n409701

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-33898637

    .

do you know what ?… china gov doesn’t have to speak a word
    or pointing their finger
or show any proof / evidence
even if they just deny it and says that there are no “small nuclear” involved
public will think for their own self “what really is this”?
public will suspicious that its really “small nuclear”
( because of rumor spread by NBC, BBC )

    .
moreover if they see the evidence ( lot of photo that spread in internet, is approved by china gov or just show up on media )

    .

so what we see here is not media coverup…
    but the opposite… media blowup…
    odd isn’t it ?

  35. What do you call 1,400 Renaults incinerated in an atomic, HAARP, EMP blast

    A good start

I owned 3 of these embarrassing POS cars.   Please, would someone blow up a few hundred thousand more.

    Vive Le Deux Cheveau

  36. @Flying Wombat, @ronym, @Ed_B, @AGXIIK, @Ranger  et al:

This is reported to have a seismic signature.

FYI: ANY NUKE DEVICE going BANG leaves a very unique type of seismic signature ALL AROUND THE WORLD.. The “rise time” I think they call it. (I may be wrong on that name)…

Just look up the USGS data base on this event and compare the squiggles with another event the same day or whatever… IF the front end looks similar on both of them…presto…no nuke did this….or vs..

I think this was one of the “confirmations” that NORAD “in the Mtn” use to look for, along with that flash of light, when they would pick up the RED phone… They also used RAD sensors out on satellites… Fell under SAC command for many years of the cold war… Go see their museum sometime…it is a real trip thru the “looking glass” .. about 17 miles west of Omaha, NE on I-80 — watch for the signs. they have an SR-71 there too..
