Nearly a year after announcing his presidential bid, CBS News estimates that Mitt Romney has earned the necessary delegates to clinch the Republican presidential nomination…

When are they going to reveal all the dirt they have on Romney? Anyhow, let’s hope Ron Paul chooses to run as an independent candidate.
And you actually believe the MSM and AP why, exactly?
Romney has at best somewhere just north of 500 or so “bound” delegates at this point. Majority of delegates are still not selected yet in most states… my hope is this just luls the Rombots back to the FAUX News induced waking comas.
Oh, and another famous “headline” later proven to be lies by the mainstream…
“Earth – FLAT!”
aragornsos Thank you for confirming my unsspoken suspicions and for providing clarity. I am based here in South Africa and had a huge fight with MSM the other day due to their false reporting in regards to Ron Paul and his campaign. When I posted the above this morning, I was actually hoping that someone from the U.S. will set the facts straight. So again, Thank You.
lol What can I say: “Bastards!”
This site is pretty good, and a fair bit more accurate than the AP-based numbers (which simply assume delegate allocation based on mostly non-binding primary “beauty contest” wins). As those of us “in the know” know, most of the delegates are actually selected at state conventions yet to be held in most locations. So while Romney may have “bound” delegates… many of them may in fact be Paul supporters, and who knows what happens in Tampa in another couple months.

Either way, it looks like with Texas and some of the other recent events, Romney officially has 672, Paul has 186, Santorum has 146, Gingrich has 66. 1216 delegates still to be awarded at state conventions in the next 1.5 months or so.
So keep in mind, that I believe that in Romney’s 672 “bound” delegates… there are also going to be some Paul supporters, since they’ve been selected to go to Tampa but are “bound” for the first vote.
Lots of chatter here in the states about various RNC rules and such, but it’s sure starting to look like “delegate binding” may in fact not entire be… accurate. Sure looking like folks can either abstain or “vote thier conscience” come Tampa, which will make the first ballot interesting and the second ballot VERY interesting.
Sure he has … I hope all those Romney idiots think it’s in the bag and don’t show up to the Texas and California State conventions.. lol….
aragornsos Thank you for the update. Very interesting stuff. Please keep me posted.
PoppaT lol I would love that to bits.
Mitt “Ramennoodle” Romney. Etch-a-Sketch Romney. That Romney?
He doesn’t have a principled or delegate leg to stand on! Lol.
I am a district delegate to the state convention in WA state. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings, these numbers are all based on biased estimates while ignoring actual convention results.
Well done SilverStandard lol You’re right, it ain’t over until the fat lady sings.
