SD readers are here because we want to be.
Many of the headlines on the site attack the handout state so why copy it ?
If it’s for promotional reason you already have the people who want to be on the site because of the content so why leave a bait out to attract clingons and other parasites.

Following is the vent I had on the comments under the heading “Inside Sources: Cyber Bank Raid blah blah blah” -

“Just an aside to this current topic.
How does this phyzz stack leader board thing actually work ?
    I’m
not talking about how it’s supposed to work, which I expect is along
the lines of you get a coin for relavence, originallity or quality of
    content.
I’m sure at the outset the intention was commendable but WTF is going on now ?
    Read
through the comments made and have a look at the self gratification
identified by the coining going on. Some of the coinings reflect vertual
masterbation, get your friggin hand off it !!
    We do have a true
comminity here, a reflection of the population, opportunists are
everywhere and when there is a reward which rings with a certain
personallity ($$ for the greedy, esteme for the selfrightious, adulation
for the vain etc) you will get those working towards their goals.
    Anyone
out there watch people ? Look at their actions and not their words ?
It’s the fastest way I use to align myself with others.
So what’s going on here ? How do you get this -
4 coins for claiming first place, cough – bullshit – cough
9 coins handed out for claiming 0 bank balance
and 3 for a certain calmness
    You’re kidding me !! Really !
AGX, always providing a pertinant view, original and with substance. Nice work bud.
    The
system is becoming selfserving and reflecting the target of the web
site – banksters, corrupt pollies and corporation pirates. Get back on
    track ladies.
This is just the example I’ve chosen to run with. Not
an attack on individuals, it’s a statement of observation of an
increasing lean to the center, the selfcenter.
    Keep stackin”

If you keep it up you’ll confirm to me the site has gone corporate and is no longer grassroots and sorry, I’m not really interested in belonging to the system coz it’s going down and all who participate in it.

    Good morning Clambake,
Your thoughts on the coining are spot on. At the moment, I believe the reason for the Mega coin surge was to stop a Mega Troll attack. This is a passing thing I believe.
I’m not sure if there are certain rules, only how you personally perceive the particular comment. Personally, under normal circumstances, for me to coin someone, I look for information that directly affects my situation, enlightens my knowledge of current silver stacking, pertinent predictions of current and possible future world events that could endanger our freedoms, the thirst for knowledge in the way a participant asks a question, the way someone answeres a particular question, fact based opinions and even humor sometimes. These are just a few ways I may coin someone. Stand fast and I think things will be back to normal in short order.

Keep in mind, when things return to normal, there is some serious professional knowledge on this site as well as super common sense, greenhorns wishing to learn, very comical people that brighten our day and some of the best patriotic people in the world. All of these deserve a coin or two under certain circumstances. Hope this helps.

P.S. Are you out there listening Jake? Come back my friend.

This is a great site, the first I visit when I get up and then when I get home from work and sometimes last thing at night. IMHO the coining thing is a rediculous contrivance and concieved in good spirit has become a backslapping “game” for kudos and reward. I restate my observations above and shine a light on the example in the string I happened to be prompted by.
Whether or not the coining continues in the current vein is irrelavent to me, I was making an observation and I believe it will, if not nipped in the bud, affect the quality of the content of this site for the reasons, again, stated above, and that will be a sad thing.
Lets just extend the community a bit and place it local, if we were a bunch of like minded people sitting around in someones shed or turning our hand at some task. Information, ideas and even critisism would be given freely to advance the experience of the group, now bring in someone who will pay for comment ? ? ? Well ?
Keep it free docs, just keep it free.

    Hi clambake & 2oz

I for one do not care about the coins at all they can go or stay. However there here and this is what I see that they do. If your on the site a lot you will see the ones that feel the need to coin them self. That I hate because it shows me the moral character of that person. It bothers me to a point that I may not communicate with that reader anymore. Good or not thats just me.
As far as the coins I get it’s not for my brains for sure. I think it’s more for my feelings, or my vibe or maybe my beliefs. I really can’t believe how high I end up on the top ten board every week. But it dose show me an acceptance of the post I do and of me within the community. Validation if you will.
I myself  coin who and what I want like those who suport the site and help others. This dose not meen you need an essay well written with expertise on the subject at hand. The fact is the only reason Im on this site is that it’s not full of a bunch of stuffed shirts. Ya one can have fun with eyes open to whats going on in the world.
The fact is that the coin holders on the top ten board are the ones that participate. No one will get there putting one or two comments down a week regardless if one feels there comment is relavent or not.
Witch brings up the question of Who What How is to determine the “relevance, originallity or quality of content”?
All coins aside and if we did or did not have them. I know this site is full of caring individuals who like and will help others. As evident by my feeling of acceptance as soon as I posted a comment. There alone is the coin!
One last thing this week is vary abnormal. Maybe we should have coins like money,we all get 10-20 coins a week to spend. That way the coin leaders would know that there was grater thought in were they placed. Not Just Volume Of Post

I coin what I like and I am not going to dictate to others what they must coin or not coin (although it is best not to coin yourself as already discussed several times). If you don’t like what I post, don’t coin, if you like, then please coin.

Clambake to compare it to a hand out state won’t get any coins from me and yes, BS as defined by you might not be BS in my book. Does that make me your enemy? No. Does that mean we have a difference of opinion? Yes. Does that mean I have to like and/or coin anything you post? No. Does that mean that you have to like and/or coin anything I post? No.

Needless to say, I won’t coin the above posts of yours, because it’s in my opinion BS. I am not perfect, but I’ve bust my balls in support of the SD site and other members here. If that means I have to coin posts that you deem to be BS (or whatever), then so be it.

Ah…and here I thought this was something about socialism. Came in ready to add my 2 cents: Seems 50% of America works for a living while 49.5% of America VOTES for their living……perhaps I’ll save that one for some other thread….

LMAO I came here also because of the headline LMAO Clambake I ignore the coin list myself as it drives me crazy but this template is on many other forums now as now it’s part of the culture and it comes with the template and it would cost quite a few bucks to change it and I don’t believe Doc wants to go there. LMAO
I don’t coin myself like a few others do and we have had the same discussions before and now it’s old news.
Bottom line, ignore it, let it go, but if you like someones post or joke then coin them if you have a mind to. Keep Stacking

P.S. What does your Military Badge say? as I’m having a hard time making it out. Thumbs Up

Clambake, I hope your questions/thoughts were answered. I notice you only had one response to the excellent posts above. There is not a conspiracy here, only the well founded thoughts of patriotic Americans that wish for fairness. As I’ve said, I’ve coined you and others even if I didn’t agree. I’ve coined on the content and thoughts put into the post. Keep posting and educating and I’ll do the same. I’ve got a lot to learn and hopefully a lot to give. I think I speak for the others when I say we want all the information all the time.

I don’t like repeating myself so I won’t, my words stand, they were considered and delivered without bias. I made an observation about content and set a sollution.

Marchas45, hey bud – the badge says “Australian Commonwealth Military Forces”, in this format was worn to WW1 and WW11. To me it puts in a symbol the meaning of our ANZAC spirit – “Lest We Forget”.

Aussies first wore it to the Boer War, apparently the spikes round the outside represent bayonets protecting the Crown and our aliegence to the King at the time. The badge itself is still worn by Australian Soldiers however the writing says “The Australian Army” today.

It’s not really the coin counting thing which is my concern it’s the lollygaggers pushing it and the fawning drivel it is encouraging, the quality of content is affected by that game.

427, hey : )  Have a look at the first nine words in each of your posts above,
1st post – I for one do not care about the coins . . . and then
    2nd post – SB: well said I think you deserve a coin . . .

Time will tell in all matters, it’s the choices along the way which govern where we stand at the end. Keep hording the good stuff.

    Clambake;

I find that amazing, you only read the first nine words of my comment?
Then you want to cast judgment on wether someones comment holds relevance, quality of content or originality?
Hell my comment was the only one presenting an idea to address your concerns.
My feeling is you only started this forum to pick fights. Now with that in mind it’s not vary original since there is plenty of trolls on this site to do that with.

Toughen up princess, this isn’t a fight and I don’t intend going there. You walk the talk or not, your words match your actions or not.
Nuff said, we’re halfway though the week and look at the coin board, far cry from the thousands issue for drivel preceding today.
The content away from this post is spectacular to say the least with regard to previous weeks.
427 there are folks who wonder what happened, there are folks who watch what happens and then there are folks who make things happen.
the last of my coments on this forum and I hope not to revisit it.
    Keep stackin

Is it the ammonia that neutralizes the corrosive elements?   I heard that Simple green is a good solvent for general gun cleaning.  It seemed logical in that so long as you dry the gun thoroughly, the SG stuff cleans like a whiz.   " Reply To: Guns, Guns, Guns
