Ben Bernanke on Living Standards for the Next Generation: ‘Our Kids Will Be Better Off Than We Are’

Ahead of this afternoon’s release of the Fed minutes from the July FOMC meeting, we thought our readers would enjoy this doozy given by the Fed Chairmen to a Teacher Town Hall meeting in Virginia on August 7th.
When asked whether this generation (the children in schools today) would be the first generation in American history to be worse off than their parents, Bernanke responded: ‘My best guess is that our kids will be better off than we are.’

Something tells us that the Chairman was referring to the banksters’ children with the words ‘our kids‘,  and not the children of everyday Americans, 23% of which are currency unemployed and seeing their life savings inflated away.
The future certainly looks promising for the offspring of the class raping and pillaging the rest of the nation’s wealth.

Bernanke’s full response below:

  1. You have got to be kidding me! Meaning these corrupt bastards kids will be better off!

  2. Please God,  spare me from the musings of this baldheaded skunk

  3. He means the ones who are still alive after the apocalypse.  Which will be very few, and much needed.  I like the 2 gold flames he’s sitting in between.  How do they hide the horns in his forehead, during public appearances?   Well, I think the article on YeeHa Finance says it all about the average old timer loses 104K from their retirement.  And still, there’s plenty of silver for sale.  Little by little, step by step, slowly, they turned and started waking up.

I don’t think we’ll see a slam later on.  I kinda think the manipulation is over or on a long vacation.  But, we’ll see if the game is still on, here in a bit.

  4. He has to be optimistic, if he tells the truth it will destroy what little confidence is left. keep the sheep happy while they are being fleeced.

  5. still haven’t figured out how to eat the iphone, damn fruit company! he must mean in gov’t number fantasy land they will be better off. like how inflation will be -5% every year because the gov’t will measure it off of justin beiber record sales.

  6. No mention of the massive student loan debt, the fact that this generation is not gonna get crap out of social security, and the massive amounts of federal debt waiting for us… God help the liberal minded teens of my generation.

  7. Absolutely Doc, BB was referring to the jewish children, the only ones that matter to him and his jewish Central Bank, MSM, Hollywood buddies.
Take a look at this creepy ad from BA about the Olympics. We may still have an attack on the Paralympics which ends on 9.9.12. The Illuminati Clock (weird thing, but clearly an intricate and expensive website), counts down to 13.23 on 9.9.12. Combined with all the rest of the MSM and movie programming for an attack on London, this is quite significant.

  8. You can’t dislike the video :(

  9. Maybe he is referring to our kids today are using indoor toilets with a iPhone and not out houses with a Sears & Robuck catalog.

  10. Between 12:05 and 12:25, it looks like someone was buying ALL 29.45 contracts.  I’m thinkin’ rocket time.  Man, I hope I’m right.

  11. The fact is, the late stage Gen-X generation is already much worse off than older generations and with the way the Baby Boomer generation has seen its wealth imploded over the last 12 years (2000 tech crash; housing market crash;  2008-? equities crash, and shrinking entitlement programs going forward), odds are Baby Boomers are going to soon live the rest of their lives at a lower standard of living than their parents.  B. S. Bernanke is just blowing smoke up our collective arses.  He’s doing his job.

I kind of miss the days of Greenspan.  Half of the time when he spoke, no one could understand what the heck he was saying.  He did that on purpose.  With B. S. Bernanke, the weasel just outright lies and few in the mainstream call him out on it.

  12. His track record is horrible anyway….Sadly its more of the same.

  13. “Ah, err, ah, ahh.  I think that, err, maybe, if we invent a, err, ah, new technology, then yes, perhaps, well maybe I am quite certain that your kids will be better off.”

  14. Kids are going to be better off? The next generation can’t see past their cell phone or current video game to worry about life and it is going to bite them on the rear. No jobs no matter what your education (maybe burger flippers are what he meant by education, McDonalds U). Easier cross border trade has gotten us into this mess along with unfair tariffs foreign governments place on US goods while we place little or no incoming tariffs on the cheap Chinese crap that lasts a year and gets tossed.

Can I have some of what he is smoking?
