Ok, so i am a consistant player of the lottery. Not much, maybe $5 a week.  I know its a long shot but as they say “it only takes a dollar and a dream”. So im sitting here thinking about tonight’s powerball. The jackpot is currently $158 Million…if you take the cash option, after taxes you are looking at about $100M free and clear. The question i pose to this forum is what in the world to do with all that cash?? Considering everyone on this forum including myself thinks that cash, stocks, bonds and all other paper assets are the worst thing to be holding now….what to do?? I mean i would literally buy about 2 million ounces of silver but that would only run me about $55M…what else to do with the other 50M ?? Just buy a ton of real estate???? Obviously you are not going to just sit on that cash and wait for it to become worthless, so what to do??……WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY TONIGHT??

After receinving the annuitized payout of the lottery which would reduce your total by 50% and taxes on top of that, I would take the funds to a safer country, say Singapore or Hong Kong, buy gold and silver and live life large from that time on .  If your silver and gold stack was $75 million you got nothing to worry about if you have your phyzz in a safe secure location at your home residence in a an offshore country with an intact rule of law. Buy a nice private jet with anything you have left over.  Paint it silver.

when you get to that point of what to do, you use it to fund causes that you believe in.

Personally, I hate lotteries.  Makes people desperate etc etc… but I guess when there’s a slim chance to win big with a “small” investment/bet, then what the hell…

    Do it like this guy:

    http://www.businessinsider.com/a-retiree-from-rural-michigan-tells-us-the-moment-he-figured-out-how-to-beat-the-states-lottery-2012-8

“What did he do with his share?

“Two of my grand kids graduated debt-free from the University of Michigan,” he said.

And for his personal satisfaction? He bought gold.

“I think devaluation of the dollar is a certainty,” he said.

One can only eat so much or use so much and the real joy in life is to help make the world a better place starting with one person at a time. I would build orphanages, schools and churches and then fund them so they continue after I am gone.

Never have purchased a lottery ticket.  Best I can tell winning the lottery is about the worst thing that can happen to you.  So many stories of families breaking up and the lottery winner spending it all and then some and ending up worse off.

If you win.  Keep it secret and give most of it away anonymously.

1st buy a LARGE sail boat that I could SAIL to multable countries all over the world. In each of these countries I would buy a small farm (50 achers or so, with a boat dock) and keep some silver  someplace close in every location. If I felt the need to  get away fast I could.  Millions in silver at todays price! We are talking wealth forever! I wouldn’t forget the criminals that forced me to want to leave my country however and what they have done-oh no.There would be payback!

The truth is, most of us do not have lots of money because having it would ruin us.  Let’s face it.  People who get and hold a lot of money have a different mind set than the rest.  It doesn’t take a whole lot of money to live very comfortably, but money does something to people and they become convinced they need more of it, and everyone is trying to get it from them.  No thanks.  Don’t want any part of that.  During these times, if you are wondering where you are going to get the money to buy that next batch of silver, remember, if it was meant to be, it was meant to be.  If all you ever do is worry about money, silver, and the economy, you’ll forget to live your life.  Does anyone else feel like this last year flew by in a blink of an eye?

I would celebrate, maybe buy the bar a round, then come home and buy all the JPM stock I can get my hands on.  :-)

I’d start buying as much silver as I could for under $9999 per transaction, per company.  Then start thinking up a good story for the UPS and FED EX drivers.

Or buy a brand new Ford F-900 Dually Mamma Monster TRUCK, with a camper shell, and hit the USA highways, looking for coin shops.  Or buy a Tesla and just ship the coins home to mama.

" Yup the ammonia neutralizes the acids in the powder residue. If people are paranoid they can take it with to the range and spray down the barrel before heading home. " Reply To: Guns, Guns, Guns

" There are two middlemen here in town that will exchange the silver for paper during normal business hours, for now... Aside from the few mom and pop stores converting it in the back of the store, it hasn't caught on as a growing trend.  But at least we have the gold and silver "stores" that wi... " Once I offered to pay an automobile mechanic with Silver Dollars but he declined. But two weeks later, when we bumped into one another again at a gas station, he asked me if I still had the coins.   I lied and told him "No." " Reply To: Did anyone ever tried purchasing stuff with precious metals?

" Windex   I've never heard of it used for that. Is it the ammonia that neutralizes the corrosive elements?   I heard that Simple green is a good solvent for general gun cleaning.  It seemed logical in that so long as you dry the gun thoroughly, the SG stuff cleans like a whiz.   " Reply To: Guns, Guns, Guns

" Corrosive ammo is fine, I don't know where the myth started that it instantly eats barrels. Military used it for years and you know they didn't clean guns the minute they stopped firing. I shoot corrosive surplus all the time in my Mosin, when I get home a squirt of Windex down the barrel then cl... " Reply To: Guns, Guns, Guns

" Wombat's right about the Saiga 12, devastating fire power at close range for under $1000.  Your better AR15's can run NATO 5.56 rds.  That's plenty of stopping power and they are American made which I like.   Ammo of all calibers is available for immediate delivery now at BulkAmmo.com " Reply To: Guns, Guns, Guns

" Good info was already posted so I'm just going to add a couple of notes. If you go the AK route you will often see old surplus ammo for sale. Don't ever buy anything that is noted as being corrosive. It's just not worth it. Romanian AKs are fine. All AKs are very durable and even though the ... " Reply To: Guns, Guns, Guns
